Grudinin, Beck, Del Bel Belluz, Kulich, Hutson, Trikizov, Bichsel all too low. Many of them are clear 1st rounders.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Caniac2000</b></div><div>DeAngelo can lobby for what he wants, he's an RFA so the team has control. He's not exactly going to have teams jumping at the chance to offer sheet him.
Burns would be a nice add, although I'd ideally like something like $2 mill retained but that's not the point. Gardiner can just eat LTIR space. If DeAngelo would be more expensive, I'd do this.</div></div>
For that much retention the Sharks would need a big return. We're looking at Heimosalmi, a decent roster player and a 1st. Burns is still top 12 in scoring last year for dmen and played more minutes than anyone else in the league by almost 100 minutes. Hasn't missed a game since 2012.

What the Shark Doin
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>bluspy88</b></div><div>I think the reason the idea has been floated about his trade by guys like Friedman is because of what you just said: his contract isn't seen as bad like Karlsson's, so its more moveable. And if you could get a good return (very likely better than what I did), is it worth it?
Point taken on retaining. Its hard to guess because only player I can think of recently that was traded with retention and term was OEL and that was basically a hostage taking.</div></div>
Karlsson was actually very good before his injuries this year, he was close to a point per game and was playing his best hockey since the trade. It's worth it to move Burns if the return helps us and we don't retain a bucket of cash. Burns has a 3 team trade list which can complicate that. Most think he'd accept a trade to LA, Dallas and some other west team. I doubt he'd go east.
The Sharks say they intend to get back to the playoffs next year. The owner won't tank and they're making sure the new GM they hire this summer won't break up the core. Let's see where it goes.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>bluspy88</b></div><div>Thank you for input on the young players. That is really the biggest challenge for me when I do neutral teams, I don't know the prospects well enough. You can scratch the bottom 6 players in that case, that is my mind sort of plugging holes due to lack of infortmation.
As for Burns, I'm not arguing here that he SHOULD be traded nor do I claim to say the return is ideal. Honestly most interested in if the location is a fit, I think on this site we all don't really know what the trade returns will be because GMs are kinda crazy.</div></div>
Ideally Burns stays. Not many sharks fans feel his contract is bad. If we're moving a high priced RHD it should definitely be Karlsson.
Sharks won't be retaining much more than a mil on Burns, he is very much worth his cap hit.

These lines are all wrong.
Young guys that will make the team are
Reedy
Chmelevski
Bordeleau
Eklund
Merkley
Maybes:
Coe
Ozzy
Verroneau
Raska might get a call as well.
The additions you have made in the bottom six are pointless. Bordeleau>Eller, Reedy>Hinostroza, Nieto>Bokk. The trades, especially the Burns one are HORRID for the sharks. Burns is still a very good player and that kind of retention for a terrible return is just bad.
Simek will definitely be traded due to the drama earlier.
Everything we do this offseason has to allow us to re-sign Timo next offseason so all these

Vegas is taking the absurd approach of hiring a new coach everytime it doesn't go their way. Honestly wouldn't be surprised if Lehner requested a trade this offseason.

Pretty low offer for Chychrun. Gets beaten easily. AZ is about to get a giant stack of quality prospects that would put Poulin WAY down the depth chart. His first AHL season was pretty underwhelming... Kapanen is meh. That 1st is probably in the 15-20 range. Honestly Pitt's prospect pool is pretty depressing.

I understand...Pavelski was/is a terrible skater. As long as they think the game at a very high level it'll sort itself out.

That size obsession will get them into trouble when they draft Geekie or McGroarty. Big guys who can't skate and by "can't skate" I mean they cannot freaking skate.

Beaudin was a former 1st round pick, he has probably been passed in the depth charts the last few seasons. But... the 3rd round pick isn't much of an incentive to take Kulikov and move on from the younger body. Especially when it helps out a division rival in cap trouble.
I could see Chicago giving Beaudin a different opportunity somewhere, but not for this.

In this scenario he is clearly a cap dump. He is a decent bottom pair but we have no place for him.
