Definitely the hardest sell here. I think that he's looked a lot more forecheck heavy in Chicago and worked on a much more physical and fast game. Not saying that it'll inherently be approved, but the trade value in of itself is fair.

My dude i didnt say that's how the game started. I said that's how lines ended up and finished. Kane began to double shift slightly after halfway in the second where the forward lines were adjusted! Hence why he substituted at THAT point.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>kuzystash</b></div><div>If you’re gonna trade debrincat for financial security in Keller, then why would the coyotes make that trade 1 for 1 when they’re giving up the security? Only reason is because they view Debrincat to be the better player, as someone has alluded to already in the 2017 Columbus trade debacle. Kubalik needs more money, and if you really want a goalie that hasn’t shown he can carry the load then I guess georgiev will suffice.</div></div>
It's ungodly ridiculous. The Coyotes have no reason to make this trade unless as you said they view Debrincat as better. In 2 to 3 years they can afford to pay more - this hurts the team short term when they need $. I also don't see Keller as long term better than Debrincat despite the down year.
Kubalik definitely needs more money being over a PPG in the playoffs, potting 55 points adjusted for an 82 game season 35+ goals in his rookie season, leading the league in g/60, being only 24, and playing in Chicago where taxes are sky high. There's no way Kubalik signs that cheaply.
I also agree - this dude crapped all over Francouz not being ready to start, but he's perfectly ok with the equally backup Georgiev at an even higher cap. Dude is a clown. (Not to mention he signed the highest 3rd line in the league cap wise)

I'm also in shock that you **** on Francouz, but you're ok signing Georgiev for more.
I also don't know in what world you're gonna get Kubalik for only 5m. You also expect Nylander on the second line??? Did we not watch the same player or have a discussion literally less than an hour ago talking about him as a player? He got scratched multiple times because he sucked. This roster doesn't upgrade anything at all. It weakens our D at the cost of dropping Debrincat, paying more than market for a backup goalie, and a weak 4th line.

Why are you trading a winger for a winger when one has a far higher upside, potential, and the other one makes more short term which is the time we need to save money? Debrincat is flat out better than Keller.

Blackhawks Competitive Team
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Stan_Bowman</b></div><div>The page I referenced shows that Nylander and Toews are better apart than together. If you cant remember Towes had a really slow start to the year.
Kubalik is not getting 5 million on a short term deal. He scored 46 points in his only season, if you are jumping on paying him 5 million in a flat cap environment I'm not sure what I can say to you.</div></div>
They are better apart yes... but Nylander is best on the 3rd line thus so far? So I'm not sure what point you're trying to make other than he detracts from Toews' game and plays better on a grinding forechecking line. Nylander isn't horrible but he's a 3rd line guy.
As far as Kubalik goes... he lead the league in goals/60, started the year with no PP time and on the 3rd line, had 30 goals on his rookie season... you look at Brayden Point as an example for a contract setter for Strome yet you crap on Kubalik's high shooting percentage. Point shot a 22%, and took a bridge deal to help Tampa. Not to mention that because Tampa doesn't have state income tax that contract is comparable to an 8M contract in Chicago. Context is key.
Strome has been having a rough time adjusting and while he has a high upside, there's no legit way for the Hawks to sign him and Kubalik at FAIR value - please link a thread AGAIN that shows what you're talking about with signing them both while still being competitive.
Nylander isn't the worst but he's also not good - you're sucking him off far too hard for what he is and somehow discounting Kubalik who was a better goal scorer per his ice time this year than Ovi, Matthews, Pasta, etc. He's a rookie - even if he pots 50 to 60 in the next few years and doesn't hit 30 goals, that's still a great deal for us for a young player.

Nylander proved he could stick in the NHL this year, and Is only going to get better as time goes on. I know you don't have any concept of time, as displayed by your trade idea and FA signings, but good young players are better than Okay veterans.</div></div>
So Nylander played ****ty with and without Toews and brought all of Toews' stats down? Sounds like a great reason why Nylander is just such a great player instead of a guy who made it to the NHL due to his last name.
I have also not seen a single thread signing Kubalik at 5m+, and Strome at 3.75m+ that can keep them both, please link to one that doesn't destroy the D. I looked through the whole first page.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Stan_Bowman</b></div><div>What is dumb is that you think he is going to sign for 2million dollars, that we somehow have to lose one of Strome or Kubalik, think we should trade a young top 6 center for a goalie over the age of 30, and best of all that you think the roster you have created is somehow competitive.
Nylander is much younger, better, and cheaper than Chucky for next season. If he weren't playing below 4th line minutes, and with skilled players, he would have undoubtedly produced much more than he did.
In the 10 more games that Nylander played he had only 60 mins more time on ice.</div></div>
How do you see us signing Strome and Kubalik next year and not vacating the roster? As far as Chucky, yes because he's #1 getting older, and #2 hasn't produced as well as before. Giving him an offensive system like the Hawks and allowing him to stick around for 2 years might give him the kick in the ass he needs. 2m for his production and potential is definitely fair. This roster is just as competitive as this years. Shaw barely played, Zack Smith is an overpaid wash, Maata is slow and looked lost the entire year, and Strome had a hard time finding his game without stars around him. Being said we cannot afford to keep him and Kubalik so YMYM.
Nylander also got moved up to the top line with Toews plenty this year. He blew it every opportunity.

there is a very good chance he will be at the hawks pick. Unless Oilers do Oilers thing and do bone head picks again, you shuold have the ability to draft him</div></div>
Good point about SJS you're right about that. Being said I think a competent franchise goalie might be something McDavid and Eichel want as both have weak ass backends. Canes for sure though because they just have a loaded roster.

I could definitely see the Canes or Sharks or Sabres or Oilers looking for a long term goalie in 3 to 4 years when he's ready. If we get him we trade strome for something else - if not I think this is a great temporary move - plus we still need a goalie short term

If the Hawks can draft Askarov then sure - but realistically that's not going to happen. People were arguing him top 5 earlier this year. The best the Hawks are going to finish is 16th if eliminated this round. I can't imagine him still being available.

He's not been great for us but he's had to deal with a lot of things recently. Had no conditioning/training camp prior to the EDM series. I also would find it hard to believe many goalies could have stopped what he faced in the EDM series.</div></div>
Not saying he's necessarily going to be better than Crawford, but realistically the Hawks cannot afford Crawford and continue to ice a competitive roster or keep Strome. Someone has to go regardless and you're not getting around that. Francouz had a very high GSAA meaning he despite the avalanche's D not being able to collapse down and stifle the puck as much Francouz over performed. He's not a long term solution, but he's cheap and can help us until we can ice a new goalie. There's no way you can sign Strome and Kubalik. I'd pick Kubalik, and I'd rather get something for Strome, instead of just letting him go. You could ask to get Compher too, but the issue is that this is a no brainer for the avs that help keep them, and the hawks competitive.

Hence why giving up Strome who's desperately needed secondary scoring is a reason for them to drop their 1B.
