Or you could bail out from under Chychrun but then you've got another hole to fill, and a big part of Chychruns value was his team friendly deal.</div></div>
There’s plenty of cap space. Chychrun will be moved

If Marner accepts this deal , that is a pay cut for him. Compared to what he got on his last deal, I think it’s close to 12.5 to break even at the cap % next year

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>evelutions2</b></div><div>Doubtful that gets Necas.</div></div>
Well I don’t think necas is worth a top 10 pick . Maybe he’s worth like a 14th pick + 2nd rounder. But 23 + Minten probably comes close

That’s fine. Still too much for a 3rd pair guy when you can probably get like a TVR for a 3rd and 4th .

Ontario Blockbuster
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>hockeynutter</b></div><div>UPL does look good along with Levi in Buffalo and now add Byram. Wow! That being said I knew they offense would dry up more. Tuch and Skinner both with career year would revert to normal. Which they did. Both are good top 6 forwards but better on second line. Either way, it seems like when one thing goes right, another goes wrong for both franchises. Add in the failures of Bills on football almost makes it worse for Buffalo fans.</div></div>
Both have the same issue . Too many puck moving LD and not enough defensive RD like Cernak, Carlo etc to play them with
They need more D that can handle the tough minutes

Ontario Blockbuster
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>aadoyle</b></div><div>I think to me you get the right HC who implements the right system and OTT is in the playoffs
Remember how Trotz transformed the Isles Defense system from like near last to top 3.
Cause if the system can improve and the goalies can get more support may see better results. Like when Talbot went to LA his numbers rose thanks to that system despite fans hating the 1-3-1 lul</div></div>
The Sens just need 2 way guys and toughness like example ROR, Nyquist, Lauzon and Schenn + a good goalie and they’re fine. They don’t need big names chasing again

I do feel for both fan bases, they have great players and deserve something more!</div></div>
They both have no defensive structure and don’t get the timely saves.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>aadoyle</b></div><div>You add Marner to that team they make the playoffs. Imagine him next to Tkachuck and Norris or Pinto.
As if they add him, hire someone like Berube, then go get a goalie and another top 4 Dman they could make noise and finish 3rd to high WC.</div></div>
I’d probably go:
Tkachuk-Pinto-Marner
Greig - Stutzle - Giroux
Just unsure about the playoffs with both Marner and Stutzle

I’m 100% for the Chychrun - Bennett swap. That’s the toughness we need

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>seanrushton</b></div><div>My only concern would be is he good in other systems or is it just Rod's system</div></div>
If he
1) can make a quick pass under pressure
2) has an active stick
3) good possession numbers
4) doesn’t ice the puck or treat it like a grenade
He should be good

Laine Norris Swap
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MoSeider53</b></div><div>Yeah Laine for 3 busted shoulders Norris makes perfect sense. Since neither player plays more than 50% of the season.
2 years of Rasmus Andersson > than 1 year of Jakob Chychrun so Ottawa adds.
I don't see Ned signing with Ottawa, His wife is a nurse in Detroit. And I can't see him being that far from her.</div></div>
Ottawa needs 2 way players . Laine is the opposite of that

Yeah you’re right. Tkachuk just a ticking time bomb imo. He has the potential to put up 45 goals and 90+ pts very soon.
