I think you need to add a bit to get Keller.
And probably another piece to the Flyers trade

Our cap situation precludes us from exchanging a youngster coming out of his ELC for a 33-year-old bottom-6 forward with a $2 million cap hit. We'd rather spend up to $2.5 million for up to four years on the younger and far more familiar Blake Lizotte if we can.</div></div>
Maybe if he wants to be somewhere specific. But if he hits free agency he’s getting 6 x 6

Especially without Krug going back (which he won’t waive so 🤷)
But I could definitely see one of Chabot or Chyrchrun getting traded to Stl</div></div>
No one is ever taking Krug

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>gavinray</b></div><div>I don't think Buchnevic is going to be worth his next contract and I'm not keen on extending a 29 year old longterm. There's also a risk he doesn't want to resign at all. So if we can get him extended to $7m x 5 years. Then it's worth it.
St Louis got him for a 2nd and a bottom sixer. Chychrun traded for him would be such poor asset management, but maybe we don't get as much value as we'd like.
I like the defence a lot but I wonder if Carrier gets more</div></div>
Worst case if the Sens somehow aren’t on track for the playoffs you flip at the deadline for a 1st. He’d help us go 3 lines deep

It’s not a personal preference . The Sens need top 6 RW and top 4 RD. It’s pretty well known

No we won’t trade Brady and even if we were, there would be 0 interest in Savoie, Rosen etc . It would need someone with the potential to play top line or top pair RD either now or eventually

The difference between him & Peterka is NOT :

I would do hometown boy Quinn and the 11th pick. We get to draft Iginla and Yakemchuk/Buium

If they get Macklin
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LuckyMoneyPuck</b></div><div>who are you kidding. This team couldn't push for a playoff spot even if it wanted to.
They will be lucky not to finish bottom 5 next year.
Just wasting assets on a player they can go for in FA after the season ends.
Even if you don't think they can use all the prospects, they can use them as trade assets later when they are older and have more value at a point in time when they are actually ready to compete.
There is nothing that points to AZ needing MP right now!</div></div>
This team has enough scoring to make the playoffs. They have the goaltending and offence from the back end.
The only thing they’re missing is 2 top 4 DEFENSIVE DMEN

If they get Macklin
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LuckyMoneyPuck</b></div><div>This is bad on so many levels.
I mean lets be honest, what's the point for AZ?
MP is a free agent at the end of the year, you want him, make a run then.
It's not like they are a playoff team next year and they just HAVE to have MP and give up a ton of assets for an expiring contract.
That's just nuts.
0 thought put into this.</div></div>
0 thought in your brain clearly. They have so many picks and they can’t use all of them.
Getting a guy that can defend on the level of Pettersson is huge. And yes they will be trying to push for a playoff spot next year and spend more money . So yes I can see them making this move with an extension
They’re not gonna wait 3 years till simashev becomes a top pair D to start pushing for a playoff spot

Kraken Off Season 24-25
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>KrakBirds23</b></div><div>That would probably be either Oleksiak or Dumolin heading to Ottawa to make the space. I can't see Seattle having Evans as the #7 D for a second year in a row. And we know Schultz is out at the end of this contracts. I don't think the Kraken are married to either of them but at the same time, as mentioned in my notes, I think RF gives the initial expansion roster to the TDL to see if 22/23 was a fluke in getting to the playoffs.</div></div>
I like Dumoulin as a 3rd pair LD for 1 year

Kraken Off Season 24-25
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TheBoyDuddus</b></div><div>Yeah statistically his worst full year in the league, can't really speak to Seattle's season as I didnt watch them much but it seems they had him on the 4th line. To be fair to Tanev, he put up the same numbers as Burakovsky and Yamamoto just with more games played. A point more than Tatar as well so it would seem that a lot of players had down years with the Kraken.
On another note maybe theyd be a good fit for Chychrun? Dont see a lot of mock trades for him to Seattle, Dunn is solid but Dumoulin, Oleksiak and Ryker Evans doesnt seem like an ideal left side.</div></div>
I do think Chychrun would be a good fit there for sure
