How about the exact same trade. However the 2022 3rd is conditional. If Danault resigns the 2022 3rd turns into a 2022 1st (top 10 protected, pick would get transferred to 2023 in that case)

Without an extension, what are you expecting? That's slightly less than what Buffalo got for O'Reilly, which is fitting because O'Reilly had 5 years on his contract and is a much better player.
With an extension agreed upon? Maybe he gets an additional piece, but he'd never get Cozens or BUF 2020 1st, and Buffalo's 2021 1st doesn't figure to be much worse than their 2020 1st.

Well that certainly won't happen lol.
Your looking at 1 for 1 with a good winger or a 1st and meh prospect.

If they're planning on building a new stadium for the Bills, the threat of relocating the Sabres (or the Bills) might be able to sway the City into doing what they want, regardless of the financial situation.
Sports owners are the some of the most vile people on the planet when it comes to urban planning.

Nothing to do with sexism. She holds an executive position aside from just Owner. Terry is only an owner... That leads me to believe she is more involved than he is.

Why? Do you primarily consider her as a woman or as a manager, regardless of gender?

I Hate Kim Pegula
I think the thing i hate the most about the pegulas was the botterill stuff. Botterill was probably the worst gm ive ever seen. If he had a plan, he hid it well. Draft well?- nope. Develop young players?- nope. Sign players to smart contracts?- nope. Identify gaping holes on the roster and fill them?- nope and nope. Yet they gave this clown a wholey unwarranted seal of approval, only to fire him a few weeks later when their own finances and the pandemic made it more cost effective to clear house. For gods sake, hire a president of hockey ops to make hockey decisions. A lot of the financial stuff has me thinking about perspective. The bills make money even if nobody goes to a game because of the tv contract. Hockey has nothing remotely close to that. I believe kim pegula made comments to that effect, saying something like "we know the sabres will lose money, we just have to decide how much"- im paraphrasing. I thought 5 billion was absurd bill gates/jeff bezos/scrooge mcduck money, but maybe its not.

Both Tampa and Winnipeg decline, For $5 million per Cirelli stays in Tampa. No way Dumba+Donato+Pittsburgh's 2021 1st round pick gets you Patrik Laine tons of teams would beat that offer Carolina being one of them.

I would want/need the capsavings to pursue Hall on a 1 year deal. And also to have some unused capspace to allow for a deadline rental.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Taxtime</b></div><div>But you have to be able to do better than that for OEL.</div></div>
sure. I can see that. The hard part for me was there are three factors a team should have in an OEL trade. A need for LD...cap space available...and a contract coming back with less salary than cap. NJD and LAK are the two I could come up with. Maybe an extra prospect?

Its an odd time for sure. Whenever you're ordered to do something you tend to not get fair value. Freddie is still a decent goalie though.
