Reasons of say game performance or other issues? He'll still be 30 and a good player I believe.

I don't think Gost or similar D is a fit now. I think this team needs a good defensive D. Having Letang, Schultz as offensive D's is enough and they used Pettersson in that role too.
They definitely need a scorer with the right hand shot. Gusev would be an excellent case, if we can shed the cap. Or maybe Puljujarvi?
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>coffey77</b></div><div>Philly and Pittsburgh made a huge trade of Recchi, Coffey for Tocchet and Samuelson. I like the idea of trading for Ghost. I don't think the Flyers would want that package. You might have to add Hornqvist. It looks like the money works without the Edmonton and Montreal trades. You are onto a very exciting trade scenario getting Gusev and Ghost. I like it.</div></div>
It was Tocchet, Kjell Samuelsson and Ken Wregget to Penguins for Brian Benning, Recchi and round 1 pick (Jason Bowen). So that trade you're talking about actually dished up the Stanley Cup for the Pens the same year afaik. Perhaps that's why we're not trading with them since that?

What To Do With Schultz
Ristolainen idk. Just taking into account his plus/minus numbers... Schultz seems to be better defensively if in numbers :grimace I would go after Pesce mb?
Ehlers is good but this team lacks right-hand shot forward now. Gusev could be a very good fit on the PP1.

You mean trade Miller at TDL? I don't know... Cannot remember many goalies traded at TDL past years. Experienced goalies seem not to be a factor of winning idk.
Anyway seems like Jarry is traded or waived so ultimately is gone. Better have some value or package with a cap dump. Or I would gladly trade him for a D prospect from SJ, say Roy/Ferraro.

It sounds reasonable. But Jarry needs to be waived to go to AHL. I don't think Miller will be treated like that.
By the way what teams could be interested in Jarry? Should perhaps be those with weak back-up goalies who could be waived before Jarry? San Jose mb? Or I'm being too straightforward?

5'10 what to do, he's mobile defenceman. I guess Gudbranson should be attached to him to protect him.
I know he will be in juniors this season. I don't know who'll be playing D, no Birks but we've got POJ

Interesting. Actually I like how it looks, and you've made some cap space to sign a UFA D to sign. But one would say some team was tricked, in fact every one except Pens...
Is Heinola, Ville that good, how is he currently ranked? You think he can substitute Maatta right away?

Thanks, so you say it's fair but still one star only because of retaining? It's just one (1/2) year of the contract and only to make the proposal be equal cap-wise. Or you don't like how the roster looks like? Haven't it become better?

Pitts has a NTC clause for Sutter, sorry. And they are happy with the goalies.
Trade for that bad contracts of Lucic and Seabrook, you would get high picks along. Not sure if that will help to complete the tanking mission though... But could help with the lottery chances.

Pacioretty now. Two deals at TDL.
To my mind the centre core becomes quite weak. Not sure about Plekanec over Brassard, would rather have Cullen as 5C\4W option. I also liked how Sheahan looked like in the PO, would hate to loose him and substitute with no one.
I've read somewhere GMJR isn't interested in Pax, maybe Skinner if the price isn't high. I think they are fine with the wings to play when the season starts. I personally would love to have Nash signed for the playoffs. He's got skill and speed, can kill penalties. Fits the system quite well and will have motivation for the playoff run. He waits for the regular season end and decides which team to bejoin. Would fit the cap in this case.
