What if ADA is bought out
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>coga16</b></div><div>the fact you are trying to justify the actions of a guy who has a long and troubling history of racism....there is no place in the 2021 NHL for guys like him. He will cry that he is being prosecuted for his beliefs, no its bc hes an awful person and an awful teammate that has finally had too many chances. Should have been told to hit the bricks a long time ago</div></div>
I'm not justifying anything he did or did not do. I don't care if Tony is an awful person or a good person. I'm pointing out that he has rights as labor and outrage culture is designed to strip those rights. It has nothing to do with his beliefs, it has to do with his contract. The Rangers are very tight against the cap with their bonuses. They probably regret giving Tony that contract, primarily for financial reasons. Rest assured, the general process here is NOT actually about Tony DeAngelo on a broader level. He is just an easy target for prolefeed consumers like you. The point is to make the position of labor more precarious and to increase corporate power. The "allegations" that can be used against someone to strip them of their contract (and then access to banking, housing, whatever, which is already a reality for people lower on the pole that corporate power has taken aim at) will get more and more spurious. Less and less evidence will be required to prove it. In a hard cap league like the NHL, you can bet there is incentive for certain players to try to get someone's contract terminated so that an extension might come their way.

"Free market capitalism" isn't a social benefit. Tony is just a convenient public target, but rest assured just like "right to work" states the real goal here is to make the position of labor more precarious. Plastering propaganda about how Tony is a "bad guy" (which may or may not be true, I don't care either way) is designed to make corporate stooges, like you BCarlo25, more accepting and enthusiastic, even, about capital's ability to disabuse workers on a whim.

If if if if. The team's account should be weighed against their financial incentive to craft a narrative. I don't care about K'Andre Miller or his willingness to collaborate with management.

That's not how unions work. This is a power play to attack labor, and you can bet the people who matter in the union recognize it as such. Tony is just a convenient public target for the test run. Outrage culture is a corporate tool.

I agree. I don't blame Jack for wanting to get paid, either. In the NHL if you go 1-1, you start right away.

The whole thing where everything that happens has to be linked back to the Rangers is getting old. As is the dump on Miles Wood thing. Jack wasn't physically ready to play in the NHL. That wouldn't change with different linemates.

There were some rumblings that the team was targeting a ~75m internal budget. Don't know how accurate that is, but I don't quite disbelieve it. I do think they want to get a real look at a number of the forwards they have in the system right now.

9m is a big cap hit, even if his real world salary is low. If they're interested, they can always circle back and get retention in a trade. I'd put money on them taking a forward from NJ's pool.

I don't see them adding another forward. Foote probably doesn't make the team. Subban won't be top pair and Carrick will be in the press box or Bingo.
