Waddell looking to trade Goalie for Defense
Why would Buffalo to the trade? They needs picks and prospects. Reimer would be a nice addition for them, but he's going to be a ufa this summer.

Habs
Clb rejet your offer as they could get those two player who I think would be a good fit for them for free in the summer without sacrificing Laine. it's gonna be up to them to convince them to sign there.
Why get Montour when you could promote Fleury to play on the 3rd pair.
I also wouldn't trade for Getzlaf. Yes he would bring experience and leadership down the middle however I think there's others players you can target for that, that cost less.

What is Lafreniere worth
Don't forget that Lafreniere didn't had a proper training camp, didn't play between march 2020 until january 2021 (almost a full year). Even if he was 1st overall there's a enormous step between qmjhl and nhl and this year with the events mentionned it's a even harder to make the transition.

My Approach To Danault And Tatar
I like both players, but Tatar will likely ask around 6M. Plus the real problem will be the season after, when Suzuki and Romanov will need new contracts someone important from this group will have to be traded for sure because the only players coming off contracts will be Chiarot and Kulak which none of them take a huge portion on the capspace.

Montreal Canadiens Appropriate Salaries
Basically I would say you're right he can still argue for +/- 500k except for Price, Romanov and Mete.
Price didn't steal any game since the beginning of the season, but he's still among the best so I would say around 7-7.5M for him.
Romanov: He played just a few games only so I would calm my expectations for him but he played really well I agree. The same could be said for Evans
Mete: Didn't played this season (season debut tonight) and besides is skating and a good first pass you don't notice him. Doesn't hit, block shot, wrist or slap shot below average. Those guys play for around 1M.

My Guess at PLD Final Offers
For Anaheim I would ask Henrique (top 6 center), Rakell (top 6 winger), Lundestrom (prospect)
For Montreal: Danault (top 6 center), Kotkaniemi (top 6 potential) and their 1st round pick.
For Winnipeg: Laine (elite winger), Roslovic (top 9). Clb would also have to include Bjorkstrand.

(COL/MIN) - Cole for Pateryn
I'll say it's a fair trade. On a healthy roster Cole is the 6th or 7th defenseman on Colorado depth chart. Pateryn would also be the 6th-7th defenseman but cost less.
Cole is better then Pateryn no doubt but Colorado gain capspace that could be helpful for another trade.

Multiple Dubois Trades - Give me Thoughts
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Lenny7</b></div><div>Dubois is, by my math, younger than Steel...and 7 months older than Lundestrom. Getting a proven 22 year old who is under team control for a bunch of years isn’t a bad thing. As long as it doesn’t include Zegras or Drysdale, I’m completely fine with it.</div></div>
The thing is it would cost them either Zegras or Drysdale. That's why I wouldn't do a trade and as said center isnt a issue for the Ducks. They're rebuilding so doesn't make sense for them to trade a prospect for Dubois. If they were a bubble team then fine, but even with Dubois on the Ducks roster doesn't make them a playoff team

I wouldn't trade dor Dubois if I were the Ducks. They're not ready to contend and their center foundation looks solid with Zegras, Steel and Lundestrom on the years to come

Columbus Blue Jackets signed Pierre-Luc Dubois (2 Years / $5,000,000 AAV)
Good signing the only "wrong" thing is that in two years Columbus will have to re-sign Dubois, Domi, Werenski, Jones and both goalies at the same time. They should have give him longer term and money to avoid that since they had the capspace to do it.

Danault - Trading Him - Losing Him - Keeping him
They likely keep him at least until trade deadline. If they're practilly out he's traded if not they keep him in hope to get the playoffs and then who knows what happens. After this season I don't see him in a Habs jersey. Suzuki and KK will pass him in the depth charts and I don't see Montreal pay him 5.5M/season to play on the third line. Poehling will probably be the one to center the third line in the future and will cost less.

I also think it's an overpaiment. I like Dubois but I think 7.5-8M should be enough for him. Plus with the injury of Nyquist they should try to sign Hoffman. I think they could get him around 5.5 which is the same of Nyquist.

Canadian division
Montreal got a lot better. Calgary too. Markstrom is a big upgrade in front of their net and Tanev is better defensively with Tanev instead of Brodie.
The reason why I put Edmonton that low is because I don't like their goalie tandem who's probably the weaker of this division. Sure having McDavid and Draisaitl will help but if any of them misses time they don't have the depth like Calgary, Winnipeg, Montreal or Toronto. Basically Edmonton is a team were you have to contain McDavid and Draisaitl.

Similar type of contrat then Wilson who are similar type of players. However Anderson just missed almost the entire last season while not producing offensively, while Wilson didn't suffer a major injury yet. If he can gain form it could be a good contrat however I have my doubt about right now so I'll vote no.
