why do people keep trading Nieto.
He can be buried in the AHL and be done with it.

Preparing For The Draft
The Kings can't afford another 7-figure bottom six forward. Smith at $2.5M is still ~$1.65M too expensive.
No thanks on Jarry. I'd rather run with Rittich and Portillo next season.

Preparing For The Draft
Reilly Smith to Los Angeles simply doesn't work. Even at half price, $2.5 million is better spent on most of three or four seasons of Viktor Arvidsson or three or four seasons of Blake Lizotte than on one season of Smith. And that's even assuming that we have the money to spend, because it precludes re-signing Matt Roy AND filling the two goalie positions.

Habs fans are going through a tough time, back to back to back last place finishes in division. And Leafs just 🧹 🧹 🧹 🧹 them so particularly tough today. Usually they're trolling us - I guess it was the Pens turn today.
They’re a last place team but their prospects - including the guy that doesn’t play consistently in a last place team’s squad - is better than the guy logging 22min, +26 on a playoff team. What are you gonna do with that logic 🤷🏻

Funny that you constantly call David Savard a top 4 dman when he’s awful yet think an actual good player in Pettersson isn’t good

Pettersson is a very good defensive dman more than capable of playing in a top pair role. If he was on Montreal we already know Habs fans would be asking for multiple 1sts for him

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>edeangel84</b></div><div>I saw your video and in almost all of those circumstances I get the response. If you shoot a puck at the goalie after the whistle or at another player that’s totally understandable. I think all of those are considerably worse than what Nico did.</div></div>
Its not really at the goalie its at the net in general that gets players mad. Goalie or not teams do not like the shoot on net after a whistle
Also Landeskog's was on an EN so its basically the comparable even though one still time and other after a game.
Basically its a sign of disrespect and not a hockey play in their eyes, Hischer should have known better but kind of glad he did it as he gave us the gift of Karma for OTT
While I would not recommend he do that again I also thank him.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>edeangel84</b></div><div>Carolina wins simply because they’re getting an elite winger. Now to break this down:
Positives: Two young forwards on ELCs who look like they could be in our lineup at some point next season is exactly what we wanted. We didn’t want Dman. We don’t need Dman. We have a ton of money tied up there and limited ice time for a kid. Outside of Yager we have NOTHING up front and these two immediately become the next best forward prospects. I’m uncertain on Chaz Lucius but the numbers don’t look too shabby so far for a college player.
Bad: A conditional 1st? Come on that should have been a no no. We should have a first out of this deal straight up. <strong>Bunting also is an overpaid mediocre player that Dubas has some weird thing for. We do not need these “scrappy Leafs”. That crap can stay with Treliving</strong>.</div></div>
Remember when I said Bunting would be great with the Pens and you disagreed? Good times

EDM is probably going to just buy out Campbell unless the cost to dump him is insanely light.

I've seen a lot of fans looking to trade him. Sometimes folks get fixated on one thing and beat it to death. He's a good player and any team that can fit him on the roster without overturning the apple cart would be happy to have him. If he's a good fit where he's at and his cap isn't an issue, there's no reason to trade him.

The thing is, he is actually really good though. I've seen him in the WHL and he was always good when I saw him. If i needed a LHD prospect, i would look at him.

I am willing to bank on that Pickering would help you out more than Chychrun in the long run. It’s not for sure that he would sign a deal with y’all, and although he is good, he is severely overrated imo. Pickering could develop, and be with Pittsburgh for years to come, as Chychrun would probably just be on for 1 year, or so. For more to add, Chychrun, Karlsson would be an atrocious pairing!

Leafs were and are perennial top 10 team so destroyed is hyperbole. One could say that Savard ruined the Habs - evidence being 32nd (dead last), 28th, 27th (current) place finishes past three years

What is a top 10 pick worth to your team
I don't personally think the Wild should do it, but I have wondered about a package involving PIT 2024 1st and Rossi.
IMO, there are some not terribly farfetched reasons on why it could materialize:
1) Rumblings that Rossi may be shopped
2) Guerin history dealing with PIT
3) Dubas' proclivity towards analytics profile players
4) The fit itself - a young, ready-now C vs. draft pick
5) MNs need to eventually backfill Spurgeon / strong draft cycle on defenseman
I don't think MN would do Rossi for 9th straight up, but I wouldn't be shocked if rumors were to heat up closer to the draft.
