Hughes isn't as bad as Carlson defensively. Krug is great but he won't win a Norris, if you value offense and defense equally.

Hanifin for Carlo
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ek_65</b></div><div><strong>Trade makes a lot more sense for Boston than Calgary.</strong> This would deplete Calgary's left side, Kylington isn't ready for top 4 and they need to look for life after Giordano. Calgary already has two strong defensive workhorses on their right side, why need a 3rd? Carlo is a great player, but I still gotta feeling Hanifin hasn't met anywhere close to his ceiling in the NHL.</div></div>
Same thing for the Bruins, if Carlo is moved, they don't have anyone to play on the second pair on the right side. Deal doesn't make sense for both teams; we'll still keep seeing it for weeks.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Alfie11</b></div><div>what else is Boston adding</div></div>

Idk why people are so high on Petey, yeah he's great but he's in the right spot. He doesn't have a point per game season yet or even a 35 goal pace. Give him some time before you call him a top 10 player, he'll be there eventually most likely but he's honestly probably the worst in that tier at this time (aside from PLD and Larkin).
Larkin should not be in that tier, he's not even as good as half the people in the tier below him. Same for PLD. I'd bump them down a tier (probably two for Larkin).
I'd bump Crosby up to tier 1, he's still the most dominant player on the ice at both ends whenever he's healthy.

Cool ranking.
I'd personally put Crosby in the first tier, Point in the second tier. I'd also move Scheifele and maybe Barkov into the "recognized elite tier", Scheifele is the same age as Zibanejad and Couturier.

I personally go:
Tier 1
McDavid
Crosby
MacKinnon
Matthews
Draisaitl
Tier 2
Eichel
Barkov
Point
E.Pettersson
Malkin
Towes
Barzal
Aho
Tier3
Kopitar
R.O’Reilly
P.Bergeron
Stamkos(if you are counting him as a C still)
Couturier
M.Scheifele
P.L.Dubois
Backstrom
J.Tavaras
Seguin
J.Pavelski
Kuznetsov
Tier 4
L.Couture
Zibs
S.Monahan
D.Krejci
D.Larkin
T.Hertl
RN Hopkins
R.Johnansen
R.Getzlaf
Tier 5
N.Hischier
W.Karlsson
E.Staal
B.Horvat
A.Cirelli
V.Trochek
P.Danault
N.Suzuki
K.Hayes
A.Henrique
M.Duchene
And I’m probably forgetting one or two but that would be my opinion. Bobby Thomas is In that tier 5 if you are counting him as a Center.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ek_65</b></div><div>Gonna be tough. I think best option could be to move out Leddy, but they'd probably have to take someone's cap hit back.
I'm a Sens fan and I will love Pageau until the day I die but I questioned the move for NYI right away.
- Trading a 2020 1st + 2nd which could be used in a cap dump for a 3C
- Knowing Barzal will need to get paid $7M+, but still sign Pageau $5Mx6 while having a really good 2C in Nelson and a good 3b/4 in Cizikas.
- Since Barzal won Calder in 2018, he's signed Lee ($7M till 36), Nelson ($6M till 34), Pageau ($5M till 34), Eberle ($5.5M till 34), Komarov ($3M till 35) and Bailey was signed Feb 2018 ($5M till 34).</div></div>
Would’ve been much better to trade Leddy and keep Toews, but Lou and Barry for some reason have an obsession w him. I’ve questioned almost every contract Lou has signed besides Lehner and Nelson

im not sold on Nylander atm. He could go either way. IMO without MAtthews or JT ... hes Domi with a better 200 foot game. Now if he can consistently play the way he did this year then hes 100% top 15 (8-15)

Yup, Draisaitl should be no lower than 4th, no higher than 2nd. And he's been a top center in the league for 2 years now.
Past 2 seasons combined, Points and (IPP):
1. Draisaitl: 215 (77.62)
2. McDavid: 213 (80.38)
3. MacKinnon: 192 (73.85)
4. Stamkos: 164 (74.55)

13. Crosby: 147 (75.38)
14. Malkin: 146 (81.56)
Goals and (G/GP):
1. Draisaitl: 93 (0.61)
2. Matthews: 84 (0.61)
3. MacKinnon: 76 (0.50)

3. MacKinnon: 1.27
4. Crosby: 1.23
5. Malkin: 1.19
6. Stamkos: 1.18
7. Matthews: 1.11
8. Eichel: 1.10
5v5 GF% rel:
Crosby: +11.03
Draisaitl: +9.58
MacKinnon: +9.07
McDavid: +8.88
Eichel: +7.64
Matthews: +2.56
Malkin: -0.75
I'm not seeing any justification for (a) putting Draisaitl lower than 4th, or (b) putting Malkin, Matthews ahead of him.

Kuemper & Grabner are the 2 most likely to be moved out of Arizona, since they are with more left in salary for this season than they are actually worth capwise."
so I wouldnt count on Stepan & Raanta
as for EDM, they need RHD as well, so I dont think that they'll move Larsson

i dont mind larsson but adding him as a legit piece of that trade for only 1 year seems silly. I'd rather not extend him anyways. For that package. As much as Id like pick 14, we can probably get a decent actual roster player for that package. If we trade up i heard the oilers are open to do it for picks

You actually think Colorado should ADD? This is a terrible trade for Colorado.
"Big RHD, smart, top 4 upside and is still on his entry-level."... you think a pseudo-cap dump 30 year old forward who only topped 20 goals once is worth that? I don't think so. Avs will find MUCH better deals than this.
Btw, there's a general consensus that Killorn could probably be had for a 2nd + 3rd which would be more reasonable.
