Whats the value
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>vikhodush</b></div><div>I would do all but Drury probably. I like Rees a lot too but Mang is probably what Rees' ceiling is so you could have your own replacement for him in a few years haha</div></div>
I would be hesitant to move koivunen as well. I think some of these prospects would border on a little rich for the canes with necas already in the deal. I feel necas and mangiapane are pretty close in value when you look at their career as a whole. Obviously Mangiapane had a huge year and necas was down a little which is making the difference in value

Like both the targets but not enough in either trade. Chychrun will take necas for sure. Mangiapane will also require further premium assets

I’m not against the canes move. Canes maybe add like a 2nd rounder or a B prospect

As a canes fan I’ll say Raanta as a starting goalie is not your answer. He is great when he plays but the injuries limit him

Jarvis is a total nonstarter for the canes. I think a lot of people are also undervaluing necas as a piece. I don’t see you getting a young player with NHL experience and production that really matches necas. He had a down year but I think the canes are still very high on him

I actually disagree. I think kerfoot could be a good fairly low cost replacement for niederreiter if he does not resign

Signing trocheck doesn’t make sense in this scenario and there won’t be the money. Laine will need more money than that. Spread the trocheck money out to bring in a backup goalie and add depth

Minnesota and Canes seem to be good partners
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>evelutions2</b></div><div>Canes aren’t trading Necas. Fiala would be a nice add, but it won’t be worth selling Necas, who is at his lowest point value wise. Besides, Canes could go after Forsberg in FA if he doesn’t sign with Nashville. Miller is a pointless addition as we can just bring up Chatfield. Plus, I have had conversations with a few Canucks fans recently that were ok with a package of Bear, Bokk, Suzuki, and a first for JT Miller half retained. If the Cabes can do that, why would they need a 2nd and a 3rd when they are trying to win now?
Kulikov would be a nice add, but Smith has done a really good job in that role, for a bit cheaper. No need to make the position more expensive if we don’t have to. Namestnikov would be a solid Nino replacement, but I think Nino takes a discount to stay and play with Staal and Fast. No need to sign Hayden with Stepan very likely coming back at about the same price. If the Canes are giving DeAngelo a 1 year deal, it won’t be for 5mil. A 2x2 or 3x3 contract are very much more likely to occur, and for a 1 year deal, probably 1x1.5-2.</div></div>
Deangelo is going to cost alot more than 1-2 mil. I think something around 4x4 is probably a fair offer. I would compare him to the contracts like the ones Tyson Barrie has gotten. He will always have the character knock but that has been a total nonissue while he has excelled in the canes system.

Flinging Stuff
I think the value is fair on the fiala trade but I really don’t think the canes have any interest moving morrow. They would probably trade any prospect other than Jarvis and morrow. The question really is what do the canes want to do with necas. I’m not in favor of moving necas even after a poor year but I could see a trade with fiala and necas making sense for both sides

I think trading necas now would be a mistake, his value is just about as low as it could be. If anything I think his poor year could allow for the canes to get better value on a contract

I’d rather just resign nino then go after debrusk. I’d imagine Nino gets right about 5x5 which would be doable

I think this is probably a fair ask but I can’t see canes moving Jarvis and to a lesser extent morrow. Jarvis is on a cheap contract and has fit into the lineup excellently. Morrow the canes are really high on morrow as well, but he could be moved. I would move pretty much any prospect other than Jarvis but that may not be enough from a coyotes perspective

Depth at forward
Trading nino doesn’t make sense. The canes should be adding another forward in addition to nino to create more scoring depth. The goal would be to push nino to the 3rd line if we get another top 6 winger. Swapping nino for senko doesn’t change much imo

What else is needed
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>vikhodush</b></div><div>Saad or Tatar would be more premium pickups that I’d like but don’t see those happening at this point.
Via trade I’d think guys like - Kilorn, R. Smith, Rakell would be reasonable targets. Tara would be exciting but is high risk and doubt that happens unless Gardiner is moved out. Unless they get a great deal for Tara since it seems like market isn’t too hot on him.
Low risk / high reward options via FA - Kase, Kahun, probably some others I’m not thinking of right now. I’d imagine this is the route they end up going based on how this FO operates. Plus sounds like they want to give Drury and potentially some prospects a shot this year to make the team so they probably don’t want to block them too much.</div></div>
Agree on all of this. Could see jarvis getting a shot as well as drury

Agreed. I dont live hoffman but its something at least. I think landeskog would be perfect on the first line personally
