Yeah he's been really good this year, but avs will need to shed money, and getting out of his deal before he declines is smart IMO

Avs always do some sort of AHL swap at the deadline and I think I'm higher on Neuchev than most so I'd love if he was the target. Hopefully Buffalo has so many forward prospects they don't even notice he's gone lol

You only get so many more kicks at the can, and every year going forward it will be more difficult, everyone is a year older, Mikko's contract, then Cale's contract, you're in the heart of your window- you don't worry about Sam Malinski. Just like we don't worry about Justin Barron anymore

Obviously wouldn't want to trade Malinski but if that's what it takes to get done I'd be fine with it. I based the package on the Horvat deal last year, and obviously Lindholm isn't having as great a year and is a UFA but the Avs can't waste this MacKinnon season, and everybody knows 2C is the glaring issue, go fix it with the best option available. All the other trades are tinkering

I think the real issue is whether or not we think we need a “star” RD or just a “solid” RD to play with Power
So far, Jokiharju has been ok this year, if not good
If Samuelsson can get back to playing how he did with Dahlin last year, then we could be in decent shape
Obviously that’s all a bit uncertain, as is our goaltending
Even though UPL has played well, it’s still questionable (at best) whether or not he’s the type of starter

So do we spend the assets on a RD like Andersson,
or use these type assets to get a goalie, like Saros ?

Or do we just stay the course & keep developing our young talent ?

I frankly think any of those scenarios are a possibility
And while MANY Sabres fans are desperate for a big move,
idk that Adams is- he probably isn’t
But i guess we’ll see</div></div>
