Obviously the idea is Tkachuk would sign long term in LA

Huberdeau is horrendous defensively and Gaudreau needs to show a bit more consistency imo.

We disagree on Kaut. Dude should be in the NHL rn, if you watch him in the AHL he's way too good for it

I just can’t justify him getting a 1st straight up. He’s a good player but he’s like the 8th best forward available at the deadline, and there’s only like 6 buyers
I have a hard time seeing Montreal move him for less than a 1st or a prospect equivalent. Maybe if he signs a one year deal and is a rental next season, but the pressure to move him isn't there.</div></div>

To be honest I see where you're coming from, but you have to take Byram out of the deal with no replacement. Barron, Jost, 1st is a very solid package for Miller. Avs could add a pick or a prospect for Motte

Clearly someone needs to get traded to make room, and Puljujarvi and Giroux probably won't sign without NTC's while knowing that Avs will need to trade someone in 2023. Also Giroux won't sign to play 3C.</div></div>
Mack takes like ~11.5? One of Newhook or Byram signs for 1 year until Giroux deal expires, can sell Foegele, or Frank if Annunen is ready, maybe Barron makes a dman expendable, there's options. I agree Giroux isn't 3C, would probably let Nuke take those duties like Landy does

Edmonton in cap trouble, and I think Puljujarvi rocks and is really good defensively. Give money to him because he's younger than Burakovsky, but fits the window better than Olausson. Gives Edmonton 3 young cost controlled forwards and gives Colorado a top 6 winger + versatile forward in Foegele

Have you seen or looked at the season Behrens is happening? He's basically a first round pick, you get an actual first round pick, Bowers in a super well rounded NHL ready former 1st round pick, and Compher is to make the money work, but also can be traded at the deadline next year

Overall some interesting ideas. Appleton is an interesting depth guy who Avs might like. I don't envisage that Sakic will want to have this much roster turnover at the deadline though (ie. 3 roster players out, 4 in).</div></div>
Yeah definitely don't see this much turnover, likely just Giroux and then a D if Byram isn't likely to be back. I didn't think Zub would move but Seravelli listed him as a piece Ottawa would move, so maybe
