It's a gamble for three UFA's giving up that kind of collateral but I reckon Novak is re-signable at least if they can move RyJo. Not bad.

Honestly, I like this deal for both teams. I'd think NSH would take this.

I prefer him at 3C or 3W. Don't think he is a good fit on the same line as RyJo and would prefer to spread out the forechecking to have one really strong forechecker on each line. Lehky-Val-Colton-LOC.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>tryger</b></div><div>The Arvidsson disrespect on this site is unreal, the guy is a 25-30 goal scorer, how is a 3rd a fair offer?</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>M96N29</b></div><div>It will take more to get him. What's the story in LA in terms of what they're expecting or hoping for in return?</div></div>
It's no disrespect. Reports are LA is looking to clear cap space and Arvidsson is a likely candidate. Value for wings in the offseason is low, especially when a team needs/wants to clear cap space. Similar deals from last summer show a range of value:
Pacioretty = free
Monohan + 1st round pick = free
Brown = 2nd round pick
Bjorkstrand = 3rd and 4th round picks
So trade value for Arvidsson should be somewhere around those 4 deals depending on how badly LA wants out of the last year of his contract. Obviously LA may choose to move someone else, but he was the name that has been dropped in media circles.

Maybe he gets there, but we have plenty of young D coming.
Wouldn't want to bottle things up.
I don't understand the EDM deal
Zacha for Puljujarvi is a lateral move.
Boqvist for Kassian maybe, but rather keep Jesper.
Mukhamadullin for ??
Chychrun is good d-man.
This would buy of two of him.</div></div>
Zacha for Pulujarvi is definitely not lateral. Puljujarvi is incredible. Its Zacha, Bo, Shakir for Pool and capspace.

I like all these for the most part. Would probably take out one first and protect the other for the Chychrun deal. I have a feeling Edmonton fans will not like this trade.
The team looks great and this would be a legit contender imo.

That would probably be something Montreal would be interested in. Value is about what we gave up to get Dvo and he hasn't increased his value. So well done.

This is absolutely a fair offer for Lehkonen.
You get a 1st and a decent prospect who is only 20 years old. You give us a 3rd liner and a depth defenseman.

Yeah, I think he is good. He has his role (on McLeod’s wing) and gets some PP time in front of net. He has his buddies (McLeod, Hughes, Smith). Is never out of lineup. And he was very happy when he was brought back to NJ from Seattle. He is in good spot.
Maybe try Christian Fischer on Yotes. Kind of plays similar role.

I don't think there's a team in the west thats stopping Colorado. Gimme an Avs-Cats cup rematch and I'll be happy.
Wouldn't be surprised if the Murray trade could be weaseled into the Montreal trade. If both Kulak and Chiarot are gone by the deadline, they've nobody to play defense behind Romanov. I seem to recall Edmundson is out for a bit yet. Kinda sucks for Murray: he's been a warrior and should have a shot to win the thing but the cap is a cruel mistress. Doesn't work with MacDermid going the other way and Kulak at 50%, does it?

If Boston trades for a LD it will be a top 3 guy, otherwise they should be looking at a big physical 3rd pair RD type. Murray is neither, and been pretty bad this year as well. Better options avaialble.

Sean Behrens
End of list
If you include 19 year olds then this is the new list:
Jake Sanderson
Owen Power
Sean Behrens
Scott Morrow
Im not saying Behrens is going to be as good as Owen Power, but I think youre underrating him as a prospect

From what I'm hearing about the 2023 draft, I think I might almost prefer taking Edmonton's 2023 1st straight up. I think you might need a *little* more in that but as it stands, I would be fine with Varly for the 1st/Koskinen deal if it happened.</div></div>
Agreed on the 2023 draft. This year looks kind of lame actually, whereas 2023 is shaping up like 2015 - a watershed of talent.
I would think the condition would read something like "if Edmonton misses the playoffs this becomes the 2022 2nd + the 2023 2nd" rather than giving up potentially a BETTER pick if they don't make the playoffs.

If he's available there will probably be a bidding war. A top 4 shutdown RHD at $2.5m for 2 playoff runs is Coleman-esque value.

I like the end result a lot. This is a good team. My criticisms would be that I'm not sure if Seattle goes for this, same with Arizona, although I think that could be worked out with a slightly better package, and I'm hoping Giroux costs a little less due to trade protection. Pretty minor stuff though. Overall I dig it.

Carolina probably tells you to drop Gardiner (his LTIR cap hit is actually somewhat helpful) Otherwise... you might be asking Seattle for a mid round pick, but I can't see a reason that doesn't make sense
