The offer sheet is nothing more than media hysteria to generate traffic. We have seen general managers are unwilling to use it because you end up spending assets to overpay a player, and it only leads to retaliation. Furthermore, the leafs being the richest franchise are the <strong>last</strong> team in the entire league a gm would like to get into this fight with. “If a team wants to go down that path with us, that’s the way it goes, but our goal will be to continue to work with these players.”

You are right about the Marleau trade, i should add a pick. What pick do you think is suitable?

I'm trying to implement information provided from "reliable" insiders into the team to the best that I can.
- Hainsey signing was premised under reports by Mckenzie that it was likely.
- Targeting Pesce was premised on Lebrun's comments of all three available for a package of Kapanen &amp; Zaitsev.

I think targeting Hagelin would be a good idea because he brings a similar skill set as Hyman. Since Babcock is our coach, it seems only fair to provide him with the tools he needs to run his system.

I also think Girgensons is criminally underrated around here, and brings everything you want in a 4th line centre. He's also young enough theres 3rd line upside. Maybe we can get a late pick added if we are trading brown, but brown is worth a 3rd to begin with so its really not far off.
