They serve different purposes. Trade Machine is significantly more accurate when it comes to in season cap counting.</div></div>
Makes sense, thank you.

NSH-TOR-LAK Trade
This is a team executive trade proposal.
In this possible trade, Granlund would go to Toronto for a 2021 2nd round pick, Alex Kerfoot (TOR) to LA for TOR's 3rd round pick back.
- In this trade, LA eats some cap space by taking on Kerfoot and TOR is able to obtain Granlund to improve their Top 6.

ANA-COL Miller Trade
This is a team executive trade proposal.
In this possible trade, the Ducks trade Miller to Avalanche for a conditional 4th rounder. Either a 2021 or 2022, Anaheim's choice (Avs don't have a 2021 4th so 2022 4th is more likely), It can then improve to a 3rd round pick if Miller plays 50 percent of the Avs playoff games, or if the Avs advance to the semifinals.

Trade Machine Limit
Just curious why there is a limit on the trade proposals you can publish in a 24-hour span? Especially with the trade deadline approaching and the number of current trade talks.
Love the site though :)

Ekholm to Philly helps solve large defensive issues they have Ghost fair asset
It gives them a 1st they are asking for, along with another pick and a defenseman that clearly needs a change of scenery. They still have to have something that bolsters their defense in Smashville.

Strong trade. I definitely see TOR unloading Kerfoot to free up some cap.

Ekholm trade Boston gets enough cap space freed up for a veteran defenseman
I get that point. However, DeBrusk has 7 points in 21 games this year, Ekholm has 14 in 27 games. Ekholm is adding some offense to his lineup, Boston could benefit from that. Instead of the 1st, I would lean more towards a second or third but Nashville is sold on a 1st for Ekholm if they deal him. It also adds a veteran presence to the defensive core with the Bruins upcoming playoff push.

Hall to COL
As an Avs fan, and hockey sense included, this trade would not make sense. Two depth guys from the Avs and a 1st Round Pick for Hall who is in another contract year. If a trade like this went though, and Hall didn’t want to resign, we’d loose those two depth players along with a 1st Rounder and he’d just walk in free agency to another team? In a way, Arizona had a similar thing happen last year when they traded for him and then he walked at the end of the season.

What is the difference between Cap Hit and Salary?
So does Salary count then against the Cap they unloaded with this trade?

Thread:
What is the difference between Cap Hit and Salary?
When I was reviewing the Patric Hornquivst trade to Florida, I understood that the Panthers unloaded $775,000 in Cap Space. When I then went to the Salary tab, I noticed they had plus $600,000 in Salary so I was trying to figure out the difference between Cap Hit and Salary.
Thank you in advance!
