Weegar Laughton Perry
If that's the offer for Laughton in the summer I think they 100% accept, now with them being in a playoff spot and looking like a competitive team it's much more a question but I still think they'd accept

Sure Petry might be an upgrade but there's no real cap savings and he's significantly older. Can't see them doing this tbh

Having fun with an insane idea
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DH28Hockey</b></div><div>I don't think trades like the one I'm suggesting can be evaluated in the context of straight value.
If you're Philly, you want to have a competitive team put together in 3 years. Michkov will be 21 years old on a 3 year ELC, which would likely make him the most valuable performance per dollar player in the league by an extremely wide margin.
No defenseman Philly can draft in the next 3 years is going to be capable of being a 1D on a contender in 3 years, let alone a 6'3 right shot one. Bouchard can be that, and by my estimation there isn't a single other player in the league who can be that'd be logical to try and acquire.
Even if Hart and TK are worth more in terms of total value, the chances of either of them bringing in any singular asset that can be what Bouchard is is very low. Philadelphia already has an extremeley deep pool of young talent, the only assets they should be looking to add are high end pieces</div></div>
I get your idea and honestly don't hate it even though I think parts of this trade favor Edmonton. My biggest gripe with this is wasting 2 more retention spots that could possibly be used to add additional assets at the deadline for eating money for half a season in some cases. Bouchard is likely the most valuable asset in this trade but that Campbell contract is just so bad to be stuck with for the next 4 seasons. Love the idea of trying to sign York and Cates to long term contracts, might be over paying them now but in time will be massively under value.

Price if available
Likely a larger salary with limited term a 1st and maybe a prospect it's hard to get an idea on his value tbh. Coming off a bad season and signed a huge deal I still really like they player but it makes sense to move him when going though a rebuild on a good team he's a great 3

Guess
Can't see this being it. Krug makes $6.5M for the next 4 season, in this you'd have Hayes at much less of a cap hit for 1 less season than Krug as well as TK on a barging contract. The Philly beats seem to being insisting that the defense is being massively shaken up by this

With how weak the FA class is this offseason it's more of a sellers market. Once the top guys are gone it's a lot of bottom 6 players

Another Approach
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>jazzykiwi</b></div><div>Tippett is 24 and has one good season. You think you can get a 1st? No way</div></div>
Less about the offer and more about he still be in his prime in 3-4 years and looks like he's a useful piece. An extension with him likely won't break the bank like one with TK will. He's viewed as a part of this teams future while I'm sure they're listening on him it's highly unlikely he's moved even more so than Laughton or TK

Think the floor for Michkov is WSH. After yesterday's press conference I really think Philly is considering Michkov, if they add another 1st I definitely think they'd take the swing on him.

Ah yes, the man that was in the locker room as a beat writer when the now GM was a player definitely has no connections to the Flyers and has never been first to report anything true coming from the NHL.

Move a few guys
I hear your they can get more for these players at the deadline thing but Laughton and TK both have years left on their deals. They’re giving up two of their better assets that they aren’t shopping but are willing to listen on in this scenario. Every team would know that Willy isn’t going to stay in Philly so they’d have the edge in a trade. While they are getting the best player in the deal it just doesn’t make sense

Try to be realistic
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>darksupera12</b></div><div>Im pretty sure thats more than what philly was asking the leafs for last season for laughton. I think its fine.</div></div>
Laughton had a better season this season than last and has proven to be a leader in the room. I think the ask is high because they don't really want to move him at this stage. Matt Murray is a cap dump and Robertson is coming off an injury. The other week on 32 thought pod it seemed like Laughton for Robertson and a 1st was on the table. Can't see them taking on Murray for an unsinged rfa with 11 games played

Three-Way pick trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jobob77</b></div><div>Depends if they have 2 players in the same tier as Reinbacher and Leonard. If they like for example Benson and Perreault nearly as much as Leonard and Reinbacher, it could be a good deal for them.
I respect and understand your opinion however!</div></div>
Personally I want them to take Benson. If they believe Gauthier is projecting as an NHL center they have a decent amount of shoot first prospect, Benson is such a good passer and is solid defensively ,but isn't a defense first two-way guy, that would look great next to Cutter. Just from all the insiders and mocks this how I believe they'd view it.

I can't see Philly doing this, they are reportedly also interested in Reinbacher and Leonard and sure they're moving up in the back half of the 1st but I don't think that would be enough to get them to move down from 7

Flyers decline. Wheeler and Pionk don't fit the time line of a rebuild and the return to take on wheeler isn't enough especially with Tippett taking a step forward this year and being viewed as one of the more promising young player in the org.

Would Philly do this
Probably depends on how the draft goes let’s say their high on a player not taken in the top 4 and he’s there at 5 and they don’t think he’s getting to 7 they’d at least consider it. Having the two pick would be nice so ultimately it might not work especially if they feel like the gap between level of player they’d get a 5 and 7 isn’t too big
