Definitely agree, Broberg would be a great piece to add but the more I think about it the less he makes sense. Sanheim was just signed for 8 years and I doubt he'll be easy to move, York, Andre. Zamula, are all right there as well and sure he'd fill in one of the Andre/Zamula spots or play on the right but Holloway is the better fit IMO.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>edeangel84</b></div><div>If it was Laughton instead of Hart would it be closer to a deal?</div></div>
Slightly. Flyers would then still have Hart, Errson, Peterson, and Sandstrom all in either the NHL or AHL and that's not including some goalie prospects so no interest in another goalie prospect via trade. Carter has negative value at this point. Poehling I'm not sure what to value him at. Laughton is rumored to being getting offers of a 1st and Hayes at 3M retained is a good player on a good deal so would need more value there. 14, 24 2nd, and a b prospect would be more realistic but It's Pitt and Philly

Samsonov is 2 years older than Hart, has played less games, and has been on better teams but posses a similar career save percentage. The 1 year where Hart was on a playoff playoff team he had an above league average save percentage and was a top 7 goalie in GSAx. One astronomically bad year have brought down his numbers but being on a bottom 10 team you can only do so much.

Goalies in general don’t pull a lot of value. Kuemper pulled a first but he was twice the goalie and colorado was forced to pay it because they were out of options.</div></div>
A goalie at age 24 that has 200 games under his belt is very rare. Hart has been on a bottom dwelling team for a majority of his still young NHL career and has put up more than respectable numbers outside of 21-22 which the team finished in the bottom 5. Out of goalie that started 45 game (Felt like this was a typical starters min work load) he was a top 10 goalie in GSAx this year on a team picking in the top 10. The flyers don't have to move him and he's under team control for at least 2 more years with his RFA status. To get him at this point it will take an overpay there's no need to rush selling a goalie that you view as a franchise player.

Not saying this would be the winning offer. Just the whole forced part is accurate, but it's in their best interest to do it soon.</div></div>
The biggest difference between the Philly and Chicago is Chicago was smart and tore everything down when the top prospect of the draft is being considered generational talent. They should build from the net out and Hart is still under team control after this contract expires. I don't think the Flyers are thinking of a dach/debrincat type tear down.

Only exception I have to your draft a C or RHD is if Michkov falls. He's too talented to pass on if he's there at 7. I would prefer a Center as I'm not overly high on the Dmen in this draft class outside maybe Reinbacher but even him I'm not too sure of.

The value coming back for just Konecny is alright but for retention and picks going back it's not enough. Konecny doesn't need to be moved, he's a great complimentary piece but isn't going to make the team so much better ,in the rebuild, that they're finishing towards the middle of the road and he's still just 26 if he doesn't agree to an extension in the final year of his contract you'll still have plenty of suitors at the deadline.

2 years out with Fantilli
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DH28Hockey</b></div><div>Pretty much. Slight chance I could see them try to run Fantilli-Gauthier-Couturier down the middle, but they're already weak at LW and I think one of Frost or Cates is more than capable of filling a top-9 role (and to be clear, 0 chance I'm sticking Fantilli on the wing)</div></div>
Ideally I think Cates fills that top 9 wing role very well, unfortunately I don't think he'd ever produce enough to play 2C but I could see him as a shut down piece on a second line that chips in 40-45 points a year. He's had an insanely underrated year defensively. The reason I asked was I'd love to see them be able to run a 1-2 punch of Fantilli and Gauthier for the net decade if this happened. I guess it really depends on how Couturier rebounds from the surgery.

Seems as if the organization really wants to see Gauthier at center and it seems like his game translated well in his first season at BC, is the move to wing purely because of the addition of Fantilli?

Dont know what that PLD deal is supposed to look like. It seems so pointless to trade anything for a guy that will walk in a year. Winnipeg would never accept this deal.
McMichael isnt worth a 1st and a top4 RHD. He doesnt have the upside any longer to be much more than Owen Beck, Riley Kidney. He isnt needed
Suzuki and Pool Party are two busts. They are almost worthless. Habs keep their pick and Pitlicks.
If Toronto wants to dump that Murray contract, theyd have to pay a 1st. Dont need to add Montembault for a 3rd
Not sure how you have Allen, Hart and Murray all on the team at the same time unless you expect Murray to be injured in a matter of time which makes a lot of sense.</div></div>
I agree that the proposed trade for Hart is a lot but I think for the Flyers to really consider moving him it's going to be an offer like that to get them even thinking. Even heading into a rebuild he still fits the timeline unless he clearly states he wants out or doesn't want to be a part of the rebuild I can't see him being moved unless it's an overpay.

I agree with keeping Cutter from signing his ELC. We are in no rush, get some seasoning for the long-run.</div></div>
Looking at him I think his skating problems are more strength on his skate rather than speed. Seems like there have been a few times where he get knocked off the puck rather easily but it hasn't seemed to be too much of a problem

Seems like Frost and Foerster have some immediate chemistry which is nice. I've been loving what I've seen out of him the past few games we'll see what happens with Cutter as well, I'm hoping he goes back to school for another year no need to rush him into an elc when entering a rebuild would want the elc cap hit when you're ready to compete. However, in my heart of hearts I can never see Scott Laughton raising a cup as the captain. So, that begs the question why? What are you doing? I am sick of the being "good" tear this whole organization down to the bone and rebuild it correctly like what should have happened in 2018.</div></div>
Fully agree a rebuild is what needs to happen but the real change that needs to be made is getting the senior advisors out. Clarke, Homer, and Barber have had way too much influence in the past few years and continue the thinking of big and hits=good which the org needs to move into the current day where speed and skill is what the game thrives on.

I think we have seen one emerge with Laughton. He's done everything he's been asked to over the past few years, when many viewed him as only a bottom of the line up guy, including myself, injuries hit and he was pushed up the line up and produced. It's also not like he's a plug first rounder and clearly has skill if he's on your fourth line that's one hell of a fourth line.

Coots will be back next year, we all hope and you cannot tell me if not for this injury he isn't the slam dunk Captain. If Laughton is named our captain that would be fitting. Just another thing this franchise will have messed up. He may be a leader and that's great, but he will only be here for at most 3 more seasons. The Mike Richards comparison is wild. Richards on the ice was miles ahead, but off the ice I have never heard a thing about Laughts like you did with Richards. It was always snowy in Philadelphia when Richie wore the "C". Jori Lehtera would've been one hell of a teammate for him just came about 5 years too late.</div></div>
Coots would be another in the long line of quiet leaders. Laughton seems to be someone who would call out his teammates when he would need to and hold them accountable which would be huge. Not saying I wouldn't be shocked if Coots is named captain but with Torts' history the "best player" on the team likely won't be the captain. Also, the comparison to Richie comes from style of play both insanely hard working players, Richards toed the line more than Laughton but this was also a comparison made 10 years ago saying if laughton hit his ceiling he would be a Mike Richards type guy

If lucky the rebuild would be ending towards the end of the Elvis contract, he's 4 years older than Hart and could just walk at the end of the contract. Hart is likely going to look for a rather big pay raise at the end of next year but a semi-large cap hit in a rebuild to keep him wouldn't necessarily be a huge deal. Unless he has a monster year next year I can't see him get more than $7M per and like getting less.
