Reinhart summer 2024
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Boltsradynasty</b></div><div>Loose Anderson add a 1&2 Florida says ok otherwise the say pound F***ING sand. Anderson has a negative value he's a defensive liability that can't stay on the ice it's costing Montreal to get out from that GIANT 💩 SANDWICH</div></div>
You may be right that Anderson is not the best player, but he still be an good asset for 2.75mil. And with a 50% retained, they can ship him somewhere else with a small retained of there part.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Hockeyfan1986</b></div><div>Reinhart is currently 6.5mil. Anderson is currently 2.75mil (with the retention you just said). This would save Florida 3.75mil. Not exactly the savings they would need to resign Montour. Florida has many expiring contracts. Let Reinhart walk. Resign Montour and STAY AWAY from Anderson contract. Reinhart will most likely be like Huberdeau. Plays with Barkov gets the points and then a massive over salary will be given. Reinhart will be a camp dump down his next contract. Unless he takes a moderate increase. Truly buyer beware situation (Huberdeau 2.0).</div></div>
1. we know for sure that the contract will be a minimum of 8.5 for minimum 7years, so the theorical save is 5.75 to 7m.
2. I agree that Reinhart can be an huberdeau 2.0 and thats why florida need to get the best (and fast) deal for the trade right.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>dgibb10</b></div><div>Damon Severson's sign and trade rights for the 8th year is literally the only example of a UFA sign and trade occuring. And it was for a 3rd, not "valuable assets"</div></div>
if I want to do that on my thread, I should add in the additionnal detail that Reinhart agree to those term?
----
Base on all replies,
who will pay florida instead of waiting for free agent?

calgary need cap space, we give low salary player + money (retained and future considerations) + 1st round pick
mantha is way too expensive and didnt produce in washington, hoffman have way better stats and half of the price (by retained)
Vegas just win the cup and will need cap to continue, pezzetta is a good 4th line cheap and we give future consideration.
Anahein have money and need more power, anderson at3.5M is good for the price. (but this one may need a change even with 2 draft)

I think the best prospect exchange is anderson. you could get a great 4-5m defense + 1 choice.

looks good and possible, depend of pre season and st-louis. you dont pressure Slafkovsky, watch him at laval. Just questionning Dach as right second line instead of center on third line (hoffman on second and dvorak left on third) .

I doubt too, but we need a player mostly used NOT as a center. maybe evander kane, but his +/- are ...
there's David Perron, "trade" 6 time, older
the most bad thing I see about gourde is that the lightning choose him as draftable for the kraken. maybe theres something that we dont know.

O'Reilly is good and "could" give a good power with crosby and mackinnon. But the first game could show if I'm wrong.

Yanni Gourde is a great player, at any place (RW,C,LW). He's a scorer, underrated. I think he may suprise us on the running.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Boltsbeathabs</b></div><div>No but probably a ring next year</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>I_Know_Nothing_About_Hockey_Or_Any_Sport2</b></div><div>He's worth every penny and a whole lot more pennies, but our team next year is genuinely going to be Stamkos, Kucherov, Point, Cirelli, Killorn, Hedman, McDonagh, Sergachev, Cernak, Vasilevskiy, and 10 guys making no more than $1m. Serious question—is that enough to contend? The Oilers are living proof that a couple of stars on a team without depth don't make you a contender, but that's more than just a couple of stars and we have stars in every position (though McDonagh's ability to maintain a high level of play throughout his contract is probably going to be a massive question mark). But there's still <em>no</em> depth behind it at all unless our front office keeps creating talented young players out of thin air.</div></div>
I'm really wonder how they will manage the cap for 22-23. maybe exchange palat for an entry level?

tanks, I will rethink.
probably change Kotkaniemi and use a 1M or less. so we have 1.75M. maybe enough if we add a NMT.
we can change the 3nd for a 2nd choice for cirelli. (he's not a 1st choice guy)

they cant afford the price of point and he will be harder sold next year. the drade is good for them. maybe you know what we can add for a 8/8.5M player drafted 79. maybe a better rfa right.

we need to keep 2M for Point in a year
in 2 years, caufield will cost, so I try Ovechkin for 2 years.
But I think we will do a change because we need a new goaler in a few.

I "forget" the seattle pick, but there will be not much change I think. mostly if they take price.
Tampa need cap space, I give byron at 2.4/2years + choice (base on offer-sheet-calculator). maybe 2 second choice would be better or more retained.
we got way enough for caufield in 2 years.
