Honestly, I wouldn’t want Montreal giving up much to get Anderson and his contract. But there are obviously something to all of the rumours that many teams are in on Anderson. And everyone knows how much GM’s love Anderson type players. Regardless of their production.

Avs decline, you’re not getting a 1st+ for Monahan. Isn’t he injured right now anyways?</div></div>
Flames fans told me the same thing when I had the Habs taking Monahan and receiving a first for it. Maybe they won’t, but I think Colorado is desperate to make a move. I do think they will get a first, or a second and prospect. Assuming he keeps playing well, and stays healthy.

What if Montreal took Foegele as well? I had that in there first, but changed it.

PLD to MTL
Montreal holds all the leverage. Dubois does not want to play for, or sign with Winnipeg. He wants to play for Montreal, and only Montreal. Even if he does play with Winnipeg for the next two years, he will be showing zero effort, and will be a huge distraction. Montreal can just wait a couple of years and sign him. And the Jets would lose him for nothing. How you think Winnipeg holds all the leverage, I have no idea.

Take out Drouin (Winnipeg won't take him and Armia) and add a B prospect, and I might make that next summer. But that is the max I am giving up.

It is not a serious offer if it starts with Suzuki. Jets fans talk like Dubois is an elite 1C. He has never surpassed 61 points. You want a top 4 NHL D, a fringe 2C/legit 3C, and an A prospect for a 2C? I sure hope Hughes is smarter than this.

My Team Part 2
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>raph222b</b></div><div>seems fair</div></div>
I do not agree. I know Dubois is a 2C, but Dvorak is a borderline 2C/legit 3C. He was on pace for 48 points on a very bad team. He's an excellent faceoff guy and a very good penalty killer. Dubois has never went over 61 points in his career, and his defensive metrics were awful. I think it is very much an overpayment. I know Winnipeg fans won't agree, but I don't see how you can justify a 60 point, second line center player, being worth a legit top 9 center, a B+ prospect and a first round pick. Dvorak, a B prospect and Montreal's second round pick is the max I would be willing to give up. I would not make this move at all (unless it was at a very good price, then I might take my chances), and give Dach this season at 2C and see what happens. I think Dubois in Montreal, with his past, and the pressure he would face, could be a disaster. Just my opinion.

He makes public what he wants to be public. It is all very calculated. There was absolutely no leak about a possible Romanov or Dach trade. That is extremely rare in the social media era. That is my opinion at least.

If that is the case, that would make no sense. Especially for our UFA's after this season. That's also under the assumption they trade more players, and get a lot more cap space. Hughes plays everything close the chest.

I'd rather get out of the Bailey deal next summer and hang onto Dufour and the picks if it comes down to it.</div></div>
I agree with you honestly. But Lou L really admires those type of players. As a Habs fan, I would certainly like this deal for Montreal lol.
