A major gross overpay for Filip Hronek.
And Patrik Laine has missed nearly 200 games in the past 5 seasons, His value is pretty small right now.

Yeh nashville doesnt trade all those futures for a player that can never stay healthy. CBus is welcome to sit on that contract

As a Nashville fan i have beyond zero interest in norris until he can prove he can 1) stay healthy 2) produce at a rate worth his contract
Until that happens, he is your contract to keep.

A Ferrari with no engine maybe? I like laine and wish all the best for him but his head is not in the game I truely don’t think he even cares that much about hockey anymore.
I think between playing for 2 poor franchise like Columbus and Winnipeg and then after all the stuff torts put him through I don’t think he has the will or drive anymore

I'd love Schenn back.
Also Nashville should have a Blue/Yellow jersey. I think it would look so clean

We need a serious navy alternate. I don't know why it hasn't happened yet. Every fan I've talked too about it loves the silver, white and navy jerseys from the 2011-2012 season. I know Gold is our calling card, but switching to Navy and Silver for alternates occasionally would be fun

Can still be discussed and agreed upon prior to the trade. That’s not abnormal.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>NHLfan10506</b></div><div>Too much for Saros...it will be more like 2025 1st + Daws</div></div>
Why would the main piece be a goalie? Doesn’t make sense for NSH in a Saros deal when they already have Askarov.

Can’t see NSH adding a contract like Kadri’s considering his age. They only just got out from under the Johansen and Duchene $8m contracts…

Offseason
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>NucksnOilers</b></div><div>I understand the viewpoint on both of those prospects from Nashville fans, they seem to already have enough forward prospects to deal with within that middle 6 that Turcotte and Kaliyev would create more problems than fix them. None that they'd want to part with.
Turcotte i would find interesting if his development path up to this point wasnt so similar to Cody Glass... drafted high, injuries hampered early AHL development years, etc. It's just the sinking feeling of been there, done that. I hope the best for him but Glass is basically on the verge of busting out and with that looming over our heads... the possibility of one of the key pieces of a Saros return following the same path is unappetizing.
Need Centers and RHD. I like Spence, Clarke, Byfield
Pinelli is interesting as well but kindof had a rough go this season production wise in the AHL but i like his toolkit.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>gmgb</b></div><div>Yes. he's a franchise player. Arguably the best defenseman in the NHL right now. A first ballot Hall of Famer. I was making fun of the guy who somehow thinks TOR couldn't use the guy, or that NSH would have to add to Josi in a trade for any of Marner, Nylander, or Morgan freaking Reilly.
Maybe Ryminister_92 is Scott Powers' burner account?</div></div>
I got that and and defending your comment. I find it laughable how many times Josi is not considered for many trophies and often looked at as second tier. The main argument to him not being able to help us is literally only because he is left handed. For us, if I can make right handed Chris pronger, we would have it made. It's what we need. A defenseman who plays tough, and is great at moving the puck.
Yes, our defense needed.to be tougher but outside of Reilly and Liljegren and sometimes Timmins, we have no body who can move the puck up the ice.sadly those D are very hard to come by!

Offseason ideas
This is an easy pass for NSH. Boucher has not looked good this year in the AHL, so why would NSH take a strict downgrade on all fronts by giving up more assets not only in prospects but in current NHL quality for a late 1st, an uninspiring prospect, and a 3rd next year? Tomasino is outpacing Boucher in PPG by a wide margin while also putting up nearly half a point per game at the NHL level.
This is also not to mention that NSH already has several top-tier RW prospects and young players like Evangelista, Kemell, and Wood in addition to Tomasino.

We've been through this before, still pointless to trade the goalie we would compete with for a winger to compete with. You keep Marner, this didn't work when it was proposed the last 500 times and it still doesn't work now.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>cooliny</b></div><div>Seems a bit light. We acquired him for 17+42, I don't think Helleson covers the difference between those picks. Especially to a pacific division rival.</div></div>
You'd also be loosing him because you can't, or won't pay him. What VAN paid for him is irrelevant, they got a lot of value from 1.5 seasons on that contract. Only thing that matters in this instance is which team puts together the most compelling offer. Or you can QO him for a year and he walks for nothing.
