I think you're giving up too much for Necas, and not enough for Marner.
I'm not convinced NSH should trade for either player. I really don't see the value in trading for both of them - especially with NSH having great prospect depth at RW.

NSH is grossly overpaying here. They don't even need CBJ to retain on Marner, with McDonagh gone and the other salaries they're trading away here. CBJ is getting way too much for a single year of retained salaries. In the unlikely event NSH wants to do a Marner-Saros trade, TOR can just give someone a 3rd to retain on Saros, if they need to.

Too much for Marner, IMO (but I've always been against a Saros-Marner swap anyway).
I don't see NSH using up that much cap space or draft capital on an LD, when they have Molendyk waiting in the wings.

NSH definitely didn't trade McDonagh, so they could gift MIN a 1st for an injured, older, more expensive defenceman.
MIN is going to be giving up draft capital - not getting it - if they're able to move Spurgeon.

I think if you're using the Fiala trade as an expectation for a Necas return, you have to factor in that Fiala was coming off a 33 goal, 85 point season at that time - heights that Necas hasn't hit yet. I think the ask is a bit much, but NSH probably isn't the right team to be buying high on a winger right now. They have wing prospects to spare - what they need is a center.

Lankinen paid his dues for a couple seasons on a tire fire team too. He's played a lot more consistently than Gus, in the two seasons since. CGY can overpay for him, if you think you see some untapped potential in him. I don't want to see NSH giving away a good pick to get Raycrofted.

3 Way Trade to Address Need
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Augustus</b></div><div>I'm typically willing to give players of any position a chance to come back from a down season. The year prior, Gustavsson looked like an absolute steal, a prime number one (granted, in only 39 games played), then had a down year. Give the guy a chance, he might surprise some folks and look like a solid starter. One down year isn't enough for me to believe gmgb when he says Lankinen is a better goalie...</div></div>
Gustavsson didn't look great prior to arriving in MIN either. I don't see a guy who had one down year, but rather a goalie who's had one outlier good season.
Lankinen's more consistent, which is an important quality for a backup (having to go long stretches without a start, coming in off the bench cold isn't something every goalie handles well). Lankinen's better for that role, should cost at least $1M less than what Gus gets paid, and wouldn't cost any assets. It's an easy decision for NSH.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Logicalicesports</b></div><div>The probably bring up Askarov to learn behind Saros. But they certainly do not need another goaltender</div></div>
In the OP's premise, Saros is getting moved in a separate deal.
Even without Saros going anywhere, there's still a very good chance NSH decides to keep Askarov in MIL another year, to get a starter's workload. Trotz did say "you can never over marinate goalies", when talking about Askarov, at the end of season press conference.
Either way, giving up a pick for an overpaid backup isn't the way to go.

I don't see Necas getting over $7M next season, but if CAR doesn't want to pay that much to a forward hitting his prime, why would they want to pay that much to a broken down and injured 34 year old? That's a brutal return for them.
NSH isn't going to give up a 2nd for a back up, when they can just re-sign Lankinen. He's better than Gustavsson, and won't cost $3.75M.

Sign and trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>kous</b></div><div>Explain why that would not make sense for Nashville?</div></div>
If NSH wanted to go all in for next season, and saw Marner as the rental they needed to do that, it doesn't make sense for them to trade Saros for him. As talented as Askarov is, he just doesn't have the NHL experience yet to be the guy you bank on in that scenario.
Trading for Marner and re-signing him doesn't make a lot of sense for NSH either. RW isn't a big enough need. Nyquist was a top 40 scorer this year, for a fraction of what Marner makes. Evangelista is coming into his own as a top six RW. There's great depth at the position coming up too (Kemell, Tomasino, Wood, Kiiskinen, Fink). NSH has bigger needs that Marner doesn't address (C and RD, mainly).
Even if NSH did want to add a top line RW, meeting whatever price TOR wants for Marner wouldn't be my first move. I'd look at signing a UFA like Reinhart first. He's a better goal scorer, could come at a lower cap hit, and wouldn't cost any assets. If not Reinhart, they could look at other UFA wingers like Marchesseault. Or Guentzel. Maybe an older guy like Pavelski, on a 1-2 year deal. There are multiple UFA options this summer, that don't require send a haul to TOR, for a guy who'll be looking for a raise on an already top of the market salary.
Conversely, if TOR wants to upgrade their goaltending there aren't any worthwhile UFA starters out there. They'll have to trade for one, and they'd likely have some competition. NJ and LA are in the market for a goalie. Like the Leafs, the Canes, Avs and the Oilers are teams that are in the middle of their windows, but we've seen substandard goaltending dragging them down too.
Personally, I think a three way trade with NSH, TOR and UTA, with Saros, Marner and 6OA as the biggest piece from each team makes a lot of sense. TOR gets their goalie, and gets to free up a ton of cap space from moving on from Marner. UTA gets a recognizable star to be the face of their franchise, and they've got so many prospects and picks from the past few years of tanking, that they won't feel the lose of one high pick. NSH gets a chance to move up at the draft, like they tried to do last year, to finally be in a position to draft the top line center they need more than anything else. Other pieces would be involved of course. NSH especially would need to send more to one/both teams, but I think the basis of the trade makes sense for all three teams.
