Highly doubtful Yzerman would ever part with Larkin. If he did, tho in this trade, Ristolianen would be going to Motown, not Bogo.
But, wow, Eichel and Larkin would be a phenomenal 1-2 center duo!

Wings Next Season
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Old_Snowman</b></div><div>I think Lehner will want too much money. Plus as Bernier is looking like a solid #1 these days. Best to keep him as the starter going into next season at 3 mil.
Torey Krug is an Option, but he's likely to stay in Boston
Jake Muzzin is also and Option, but he's likely to stay in Toronto
Out of the other UFA Dman there's not much I'd be interested in having on the books other than Pietrangelo who most definitely won't be leaving St.Louis for Detroit.
Hence I never bothered to add any UFA D Men, Seider and Lindstrom can hopefully make the jump. And hopefully Dekeyser has a healthy year or else it will be groundhog day for the Wings.</div></div>Lehner seems to value term at least as much as money from what I have understood. I think he could be had for 7X $7M, which would be very doable in your scenario. He is Chicago's lone bright spot defensively most nights and should be playing more than he is.
Barrie and Schultz may also be available or trading for Ristolianen(?) could happen as well.
In either way, the wings won't be down for very long now that Yzerman is back, imo.

Wings Next Season
Absolutely love your cap space, possibly closer to $17M with s higher ceiling. Lehner, in goal, could be another option as well. There may be some nice higher end RHD who might want to play for SY and the DRW. Good luck.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Nhl_oilers</b></div><div>I don’t think so. But I believe he will want a long term deal after his 2 years are done at like 7-8M. The reason why he only signed 2 years with Edmonton was to help them with the cap so we can get players to make the playoffs.</div></div>They were discussing him the other day on TSN at noontime pretty much saying he was gone after these next two years.

Florida Fans
I wonder if Keith might want to be reunited with Q and Uncle Dale. Florida seems to be more on the right track than Chicago, and perhaps could be interested in 3 time Cup and 2 time Norris winner. I am not advocating for this move; it is solely up to Duncs.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Canucks_Hawkey</b></div><div>Ya Murph being a RHD just adds to his value in addition to his other qualities. Hawks shouldn't really be entertaining offers for him tbh. Keith is a tough move though and his return is probably not the greatest. He's a great mentor and can be valuable as part of a rebuild. Alot of successful rebuilding teams in the past had some older veterans to teach the up and comers so it's not that bad to keep Keith around.</div></div>You are right about Keith, especially considering his Cap recapture. He's still pretty durable but not the same productive number one he had been for so long. He basically has no return value but could thrive with more limited roles, I guesss.

Hawks
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>HatterTParty</b></div><div>Ya know, I get the whole “loyalty signing” label attached to seabrook and that he “earned” his 6.875 per, but that doesn’t mean the term had to be so severe. That’s what crushed me at the time. In all actuality, I thought Kane and toews also did the team a great disservice with their extensions. More toews than Kane obviously given how he’s playing.
Having said that, if you can get great assets at this point by selling wholesale, what does this team have to lose anymore? Bowman’s legacy in the eyes of hawks fans is irreversibly dented in spite of the cups. Either sell or get walking Stan. The funny thing is that in spite of the red wings being historically awful this year, I trust Stevie Y to turn that team around cuz he has a plan. Can’t say I trust Stan with that responsibility.</div></div>Yup. I don't foresee Chicago even making the playoffs in these next 4 years.

If you have aspirations of winning, somehow try to trade a scratched YG for an actual top pairing RHD instead who you have there with this roster. I wish the Bolts all the success otherwise!

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Canucks_Hawkey</b></div><div>Wishful thinking that Hawks give up Murphy for Johnsson. AJ isn't what the Hawks need and a young Murph is too valuable on a defense that's already thin.</div></div>can't trade all of the RHD, hey?! I tell you what, tho. Regardless of cap recapture, I would start by asking Duncan Keith to waive his NMC, not necessarily to the Leaves. (If he has to stay, I would drop him to the 3rd pairing even though he prolly still is their "number one defenseman". They aren't winning with him getting the most TOI so why not go a different route?). Sorry for the hijack.
