It’s funny how some people were saying 6 months ago that the only reason the habs were in the finals was Carey price and now he’s the worst goalie ever lol smh

No it doesn’t help them. However, they could buy him out instead, which would be a better thing for them

If Weber does retire

No, it changed
If Weber retires it’s 4.9M per season until the end of is contract
With NSH trading Arvidsson and Ellis and losing Jarnkrok, I think they are ready to take the 4.9M for the next 5 years
They won’t trade for him

Would nsh do this
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Riley816</b></div><div>Because Montreal fans don't want him and are pawning him off on Seattle..</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TheThunder</b></div><div>Good answer I'll reword the question . What rational reason for Seattle does Francis act brain dead and take Drouin?</div></div>
I am not sure I agree and I see where the logic is for Drouin to Seattle.
Let me just say, I am a Montreal Fan and I have been frustrated with Drouin. That being said, I believe he has value as a complimentary offensive piece in a top 6. He puts up numbers and has strong playmaking skills. However in Montreal the expectations were that he would be dominant, which he is not. I could see Seattle "taking a chance" on him as Vegas did with Perron and Neal. Seattle is going to need players and they could do a lot worse than Drouin in my opinion. He's got two years left on not the worse deal out there, I could see scenario where he flourishes in Seattle or a similar less intense market/fanbase. I actually think Habs could get a better return somewhere else for a player that equally could use a fresh start or an offensive needy team.
Hope this is the explanation you were looking for.
Thanks,
G

Armia hits so we know he'll be playing. I know Habs fans love Caufield but he might be like a deer in the headlights in a playoff series. If the Habs have any shot at beating the Leafs then they'll have to employ some psychological warfare and make the Leafs doubt themselves. Perry can still be an effective rat. Even though he looks more like a hyena.

Sure Caufield isn’t physical, but it’s not like he’s any less useful physically as Perry, and would be much better at avoiding hits. Also the Leafs are one of the least physical teams in the NHL, so it won’t be a big deal.
And Chiarot - Weber is terrible, but I could see Ducharme leaning that way.

anderson contract
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>dzad96</b></div><div>FLEECED. Anderson is a hospital patient and you gave up a third to do it.</div></div>
I agree. The deal will become a bust if Anderson cannot bounce back from injury.
If he heals 100% - he will have a full year to do so - and comes back to where he was before, then that deal is great.
You call it like this on pure speculation that he cannot bounce back. Pure speculation on your part. Acting as though you're a doctor that sees in the future.
Have you checked with the medical staff that know him and evaluate him?
Do you know he was about to get back in the lineup had the CBJ reached the 2nd round?
No. Pure speculation and I can guarantee you just dislike the Habs, that's all.
A more balanced mind, a more genuine comment would be this:
IF Anderson doesn't recover well from his injury = Habs lost the trade.
IF Anderson bounces back from injury = fair deal.
And what about this, if you want to be fair and balanced, and not just speaking with emotion (hating the Habs while not having examined Anderson's health and going on sheer projection):
IF Domi bounces back from a bad season, AND Anderson doesn't recover from injury = Habs got fleeced.
IF Domi doesn't bounce back from a bad season, AND Anderson does recover well from injury = Columbus got fleeced.
That is being fair and balanced, without juvenile emotions.

If he's 100% this is a steal of a contract. I'd expect at least a few 30 goal seasons. Great PKer and was really improving his playmaker before getting hurt as well. I sure hope he's completely recovered cause if he is, he's one hell of a player.

Doubt the habs trade Romanov, Suzuki, KK, Norlinder, Primeau and Caufield. Everyone else should be available. Also CBJ HAS to add. that is not a fair trade.

habs package for laine
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>habs1289</b></div><div>There's no point in arguing with Windjammer he is clueless when it comes to other teams players.. Poehling easily has the potential to be like a danault or pavelski in the future.. I might as well. I don't take kindly to people, clueless or not, trashing my team
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Windjammer</b></div><div>I see so you're cherry picking Domi's one fluke year and saying that it is his norm. Laine's second year as a 19 year old was within 2 points of Domi's fluke career year as a 24 year old. Laine is light years ahead of Domi in quality and value. No reasonable argument can be made to the contrary.</div></div>
So I see you're changing your argument. What if this year was Domi's fluke year with the Habs and he'll get back to scoring 70 points? You may be half-correct, but you're also surrendering to me for your other arguments. So you have one tiny victory in a war. I claim victory

Three Team Trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Pmanningno2</b></div><div>I think this makes a lot of sense for all teams.

this feels like exactly what Winnipeg would want from a Laine trade.
I'd hate to see Danault go(also think an extension would be needed) but I'd love to see a large goal scorer in a Habs jersey.</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>HabsFan77</b></div><div>This could be a good start as a base for a trade. Picks and Players would have to be added to balance it out.</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>habs1289</b></div><div>Habs - Domi , Juulsen, Danault and a 2020 2nd (out) - Laine (in)

Jets- Laine (Out) - Danault, Dumba (in)</div></div>
Very fair, I figured there would be some balancing. I’m a big fan of Domi’s game, so probably a bit of bias there on my part.

cuz the guy prolly bases the value of players based off their franchise mode value bar

My take on a 3 way
That's pretty balanced IMO, but it is not really a 3 way trade, since Montreal just flips Dumba to Winnipeg.
If I'm Montreal, I keep Dumba and explore trades for Petry witch would fetch a similar return. Or go for a playoff run fully loaded and risk loosing him on the market. Either way, Dumba would be an upgrade on Petry for the next 3 years.
