As for this game, is it just me or are the refs calling EVERY. DARN. THING. Never seen so many bad penalty calls in a 2 and a half games in my life.....but that Toffoli though, am I right? Holy smokes.

Russell has played very well with Barrie and has helped solidify our defence, so I doubt he gets moved.

He’d be “fine” at 9M AAV but not at his 11.5M.. he’s way expensive and they need shutdown D men not two Offensive D men. With that extra 2.5M space + 3M in cap space that’s another top 6 forward $ they could sign or trade for down the road!

you are basing "he's an elite offensive defenceman" on what? Your own opinion when I guarantee you don't watch many games with him, and you definitely don't pay attention to him only enough to even say something that makes him elite. Advanced stats isolate it and make it worth the while in conversations that someone is wrong and you can show them why they are wrong.

Seperate them and they are meh ( Kulak is actually playing good with Romanov tho )

With MTL winning the cup this year based off of 4 games, a late 2nd is fair.

Those are bridge deals, and none of those players have arbitration rights. Kotkaniemi, unless he has a 0.85 PPG + season, would be lucky to get 250k more than that. KK's contract is in the range of what Domi, Hertl & Teravainen got after their ELC. Romanov is close to what Morrissey, Nurse & Trouba got.

It could be Lindgren there, too, or some other backup option at similar price. I was aiming more for dollar amounts here, so we can feel free to sub in another sub 1mil goalie over Primeau. It's just too tough to predict what SEA will take for now. But Allen is playing very well in a backup role over the last two years which will probably get him first in line
