Interesting you include Blake but not Nadeau when Nadeau is probably the more likely of the two to make the Canes roster.

Interesting…I could see a deal being worked out between the Habs and the Isles then if what they need is cap space.

Kinda like how we traded a 2nd to Chicago for Andrew Shaw, and the Blackhawks used that pick to take DeBrincat

Cant see Harris and Barron staying
Barron is 100% gone IMO. Mailloux has simply passed him. Think they're gonna trade him for a similar-aged forward (The likes of Tomasino, Holloway, etc.)
As for Harris, I think he'll stick around one more season and Struble will be down because of his waivers exemption.

Bold move
Another day, another ridiculous Hutson trade. Habs are <strong>not</strong> I repeat <strong>NOT</strong> trading Lane Hutson until they <strong>know</strong> beyond all doubt that he is not going to be another Fox/Makar/Hughes type of D man. Let's all stop before the entire fanbase goes crazy, deal?!

hronek
If the Canucks move him ideally they get a similar aged top 4 d or top 6 forward but Montreal doesn’t really have one that would be a fair trade. So I’d say maybe the Winnipeg 1st + Barron/Harris + another piece (maybe Evans or a mid round pick) would probably be around fair value
I think the Canucks will end up signing him though

Maybe in his first season or two on the wing, but longer term not using as a center would be foolish. I would pretty easily play him at 2C over Dach and move that tin soldier to 3C or on the wing.</div></div>
You could go either way with this. Starting a center on the wing (less responsibility) until he adjusts to the speed the game. It's a fairly common move.

getting pick 14
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ht42</b></div><div>As a Habs fan, I don't really see Yzeman doing that.</div></div>
Maybe not, but this would be #26 + #60 (Colorado- approximately) + #45 (Pittsburgh in 2025- approximately) for #14 plus 2 serviceable NHL players that could help Detroit keep the puck out of the next for a low cost. It is not horrible.
What do you think Montreal would have to add? A bad contract coming back? Another young player like Harris or Barron?

Demidov is only signed through next season and has supposedly stated he plans to go to North America as soon as that contract is up. So, while it is still possible he does re-sign, it sounds like he could be in the NHL as soon as the 25-26 season.

And just looks what I wrote for the Canes, they can use that to make an offer for a player like Buchnevich.
And when you talking about one of their three roster players, who they are ?</div></div>
He thinks he is getting one of Caufield, Suzuki or Slaf + a 1st for Necas. It's really not worth talking to Canes fans about cause they take delusional to a whole new unforseen level

Draft day trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ht42</b></div><div>For someone who see Hutson in person, you are completly wrong. He is NHL ready, but his size can affect him, but he is NHL ready.</div></div>
We're in the same boat for watching him play. He is mighty talented but still has a few things to work on before he would be able to play his style against pros.
1. He moves with the puck in a way that closes off passing lanes and limits his options. He needs to learn to create a threat of a pass in the ozone. Theres a common problem with BU and sticking to the systems.
2. His size, he needs to grow more.
3. He needs more confidence and control when being defended properly. If you try to force a move he will shimmy n shake you out of your skates, but if you stay calm and just cut of his angles, he short circuts and creates turn overs.
4. He has another brother coming into the program next season I believe, or maybe its Mack.
5. BU is in a positition that they can be a force for a few seasons, I can see him coming back for another Beanpot and Frozen 4 run.
Not trying to say he wont be an nhler, but he would benefit from another year and I've heard a few guys are looking to come back.

The Boldy trade idea
I appreciate that you're actually putting together a serious offer, but MN still says no. There's no reason to do it - he's a great player, young and has term.
My best guess would be that it take both Guhle and the MTL 2024 1st, and probably more still.
I don't see a package that works for both.
