If not there's gonna need to be a number of nice assets not just Turcotte and a 1st in a weak draft.
Low ball offer... not only is there no Byfield, there's also no Valardi and only one 1st round pick in a weak draft where there's been limited scouting.</div></div>
Turcotte > Vilardi IMO. You can swap Vilardi for Turcotte if you want.
LA isn't trading Byfield. This is LA's best offer and if Buffalo insists on him, then LA will walk away.

Really well thought out. This is the only kind of Eichel trade we should be making.

Kucherov's injury he is playing through for the cup finals is likely more serious than we think. Lightning will likely have 9,500,000 sitting on LTIR next year.

A great many of them are not in the HOF naturally

Quick had 3 more wins than Petersen this season, despite getting 10 fewer starts. Not sure why you think he sucks so bad. He's 35, so he's no spring chicken, but he'll do just fine in a backup role. He didn't do well earlier in the season when he and Petersen were rotating starts, but his save percentage when playing a game after taking multiple games off was like .940. He's an above average backup goaltender.
Yes, he'll easily be in the Hall of Fame. 2 Stanley Cups, a Conn Smythe, and a pair of Vezina nominations (one of which he should have won). Even in the 2018 playoff series when the Kings were swept by Vegas, Quick was lights out and was arguably the best player in the series for either team. He allowed only 7 goals in 4 games to a vastly superior Vegas team, posting a .947 SV% and 1.55 GAA In the series. Fleury was fine, but didn't really need to make any quality saves in that series, whereas Quick was standing on his head every night.
He might not be a first ballot guy, but he's definitely getting into the HOF.

You apparently don't follow the Kings.
Blake has said that the biggest thing missing from the Kings locker room over the past several years has been leadership. Brown is the guy that they point to as the only remaining leader in the room. They purposefully went out and drafted guys like Bjornfot, Mikey Anderson, Akil Thomas, Aiden Dudas, etc. All guys that were captains and showed leadership ability at the junior and international level. Brown is the role model for those players. He is exactly what the Kings leadership wants the players to emulate in their on- and off-ice approaches to hockey. Even if he wasn't the Kings' leading goal scorer this year, the Kings would still keep him around for that reason. It certainly helps that he can still put the puck into the net at his advanced age.
Brown isn't going anywhere.

Brown won't be traded. I fully expect him to sign a new contract in LA when his current one expires.
Also, you don't buy out your future Hall of Fame goaltender when you have nearly $20M in cap space so you can sign David Rittich.

That's a package I'd be fine with as a Kings fan, and about as much as I'd be willing to give. However, I think you're about to be bombarded by Buffalo fans saying it's not enough.

Eichels NOT The Sabre Were Looking For
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>irgids</b></div><div>Jack Eichel is who the team hopes QB becomes one day, and we'll be lucky if he hits that ceiling. He is exactly the Sabre that we're looking for.
Let me be clear, I DON'T THINK WE COULD PULL IT OFF, but to go Eichel-Kopitar-QB down the middle is elite. Even if it means giving up Kupari,Kempe,Turcotte+Pick++, that's instant relevance.
Reinhart 7for6 is worse than the Lucic contract we luckily avoided. Way too much to pay, especially when the team clearly needs to add at the defensive end (Matta failed experiment), instead of the front (all the prospect depth in the world).</div></div>
Fair points, and an understandable point of view even if I don't agree. The Kings center depth is already set to be elite with QB, Vilardi, Turcotte, and Kopitar. Yes, QB may or may not hit the same talent level that Eichal has hit in the past (before injuries, which caused a lost season). But trading for him with the pieces that you're talking about is getting rid of the support those three need on their wings or throughout the rest of the lineup.
I don't think Reinhart and Lucic can even be mentioned in the same conversation, unless you're talking about how their games are opposite. Lucic's contract that we avoided was a boat anchor because the style of game the NHL was trending to was passing him by. Reinhart has proven to be a consistent 20+ goal scorer that is directly in the age-range the Kings organization has stated they are looking to fill (25-27 years old to bridge the gap between the star vets and the up-and-coming prospects). On top of that, Reinhart would be significantly cheaper than Eichel, both now and in the long run.
As far as the defense vs forward spots, I agree there's a hole to be filled at 3LD. Maatta failed at 1LD and has become an okay-ish placeholder for that bottom pair. But I'm really liking what I see out of Toby and Mikey. It depends on what happens with the draft lottery this year, as I think the Kings would love to be able to get one of Power/Hughes/Edvinsson.

He's a decent 2nd pairing guy, but if he's your #3D, your team probably has some defensive issues. If he's your #5 guy, you're in great shape. Hence he's a 4/5 defenseman.

Athanasiou is an RFA and does Iafallo have it guaranteed he'll play on a first-line with any other team with the Kings cap space? Byron is being paid $3.5M on your fourth line, his best years are behind him, so I see him as a cap dump (veteran presence isn't important with Carter, Brown, Kopitar still with the team). Armia is gone after this season as a UFA, so he is also a cap dump. Mete is a RFA and he's fine but the Kings have bottom pairing guys like him and would likely lose him to the expansion draft. These moves all make the Kings worse in the short and long-term while helping Montreal both short term and long term. Kings Decline.
