IF salary is less than 82M
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>trickydick55</b></div><div>that was Daren Dreger and what he said was essentially I don't know, my guess would be a first and a prospect. the market for D is thinning out, ultimately it is going to come down to Gostisbehere and Leddy for MTL. the price for Ghost is going to be astronomically high, as it should be he's an amazing offensive D w a sweetheart contract. frankly i doubt he's even available and PHI is only going to pull that trigger if the offer is too good to refuse. that leaves the habs with leddy as the only option at LH, puck moving D that can be instantly inserted into the top 4. he has 3 yrs left @ 5.5.
the offer I think the two sides will ultimately come to is:
Nick Leddy
for
Tatar
Jake Evans
5th round pick
I could also see a larger deal involving Beauvillier</div></div>
okkk! I feel like that would be a very good offer for both team especially if New York does not Sign Lee. The thing is that depends on the free agents on the 1st of July... If habs can't sign a sniper this offseason I doubt they trade Tatar.... This will be an interesting summer for a lot of teams...

IF you want Leddy IMO tatar or drouin or 15ovrl pick must be involve</div></div>
I saw on Twitter it said that the price for Leddy would be a B prospect and a pick.... I added Weise but he could be taken out.

Yeah I am seing that too but if it is indeed more than 11M.... Pavelski might not be back. Bridge deal for LAbanc and Meier are the only option but even with them taking a discount this is going to be a very hard summer for the GM

Building the roster based on what Fletcher said
The value itself isn't that bad for both teams but I don't see Danault being move as of right now.... Maybe in a season or two when the young kids can play bigger minutes but as of short term Danault isn't going anywhere. You guys need RD right? We have a bunch of that hahaha. I saw a couple of Flyers fans not being on board with Juulsen but I don't know why... I know he's no Makar but he's 22, he has a pretty hard shot, he's a good skater and has a good size.... Maybe Shaw, Juulsen, a 2nd and a 5th?

There is about 1M in tax difference at that amount. Rantanen deserves about 10M...... The thing is how it compares to his teammates.... Matthews and Tavares make 11M. Look at Landeskog and MacKinnon...

I didn't want to trade Tatar because he puts the puck in the net and MTL needs that big time.
I know CAR will be trading a D or 2... I like Fleury and we have his brother in the system already.
Also, this is Fantasy GM time killer so I'm just f'n around with a lineup I think would work pretty well and be fun to watch.</div></div>
Yeah no worries!!! I like Fleury a lot and it is true they want to trade a D. I know we get their 1st round pick but like I said I would avoid trading Primeau. Lindgren might be an option (i know he does not have value) they need a goaler other than koskinen and they don't have a lot of cap space.

1. I don't know if I like that 4th line. Habs were a very fast team last season and I doubt these players fit that model
2. You are overpaying a lot for Puljujarvi. We have a very good fit for goaltending. Price is 31 and Primeau 19. In 4/5 years Price will be 35-36 and Primeau 23-24. That could be a great time to make the transition while having Price help Primeau. I like the idea of getting Puljujarvi because his value is low and it is clear he wants out of EDM. It's a low risk high reward type of deal. Lehkonen alone might be good but he is a very very very good third line and PK guy.
3. If we are helping Toronto with their cap issues. I'd ask for more than a 3rd. They are in our division so I'd ask for a prospect or at least a 2nd.
4. I doubt Philly takes that. They are looking to move their 1st of this year so it would not make sense to stack up on picks. They are looking for a top 6 forward in exchange of Gosth. Tatar might be a good fit.
5. If Carolina trades a D-man I doubt they trade Fleury. I would like to have him but I doubt it.

PHI with MTL NASH and MIN trade
I don't know if MTL trades gosth for drouin 1 for 1. I know that the rumours of Shaw and Byron for Gosth is bullcrap but Therrien does not seem like the kind of guy who would like Drouin... He never liked Galchenyuk when he was with the Habs and Drouin is known for lacking heart. I was wondering how you guys felt about a trade where we send Petry? he would become your first pairing RD. I don't think the trade would be 1 for 1 but maybe adding things on the sides would make it even.

We should not trade Domi or Danault as of now. To get Gosth we will probably have to give a RD since Philly does not have a lot of those. Petry could be a good option

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Rideordie</b></div><div>I like this team but Armia is more 2.25M and lekhonen 1.75M. Also Poehling and Suzuki should start in the minors to get experience playing pro and winning together. The 4th line is not where you developpe young players. Weal proved to be able to produce and thompson is a good 4th line center. Also find your paying a lot for Gost, switch the 2nd round pick for a 5th one and the take off the 3rd round pick and It's more of a fair trade. Finaly, having Weise in the ahl will only show for like 75k more on the cap and nothing next year. By buying out you add a few 100K's on the cap hit next year for no reason.</div></div>
I agree! The only thing that might give Suzuki a reason to play in the NHL more than Poehling is that he is right handed. If we trade Shaw we only have Armia, Gallagher and Weal as right handed.

Gostisbehere
This is an overpayment. People act like ghost is a god. He just had an awful season and it's been clear that the Flyers are trying to get rid of him. Shaw is a player that the new coaching staff knows and loves. Shaw and a second is enough i'd say. I would like to see Bergevin include Petry IF we can get our hands on Karlsson. Petry could be very good addition for the Flyers and they have the cap space to get him without us keeping any salary. I doubt Ratcliffe is available but if he is I would take ghost+ Ratcliffe for Shaw, Byron, Juulsen and a second round pick. Again I doubt they trade Ratcliffe but for Ghost I feel like Shaw, Byron, Juulsen and the 2nd round pick is a lot.

offseason
Why do you want to trade Drouin? He had a good season and you want to trade him for the 18th overall pick? If bergevin does that he gets fired the next minute. I get that trading up for Caufield is interesting but they don't really need more forwards...... If they trade up it's for a D-man. Duchene might want more than 9M and I don't see how Gardiner is coming to MTL...

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>slapshot723</b></div><div>Isles would most likely risk Leddy for Tatar, even though the Canadiens would get the better end of that deal. Tatar does fill a need for a top-6 forward. Danault for Leddy is more fair. You don't think Domi-Poehling-Kotkaniemi-Thompson is strong enough that you can trade Danault for someone like Leddy? I think the Canadiens can take a risk like that.</div></div>
Domi did a great job this season but if you want to compete you need more than Thompson to win faceoffs. KK and Poehling are very young and in the future they will be #1 and #2 centers for the team but as of now I don't feel like we can afford to give up Danault. Domi could move back to the wing when KK is ready for the first line. I like Domi as a center but I feel he could be a lot more dangerous as a winger.
