Dubas masterclass
Way light for Timo. He would be easily a 50 goal scorer on the leafs playing with Marner or Willie. If it was possible to sign him next season the leafs should give up Knies probably. The 3M line would be the best in the league.

What do the leafs want with another small forward? We need a guy to dig the puckout and go to the net.

If he didn't have concussion issues like his brother. Eric would probably have been the best power forward to ever play. Ovi is a great argument though.

Good story of Bobby McMann, but a 26 yr old rookie who hasnt put up a pt in 7 games on your 3rd line, along with Kampf who dreams of surpassing 30 pts one day.
Its alot of eggs in one basket (2 scoring lines) with no real hope of re-signing Meier and then having a weak prospect pool to play with Matthews/Marner/Nylander when their cap hits get even higher</div></div>
Who would you rather have Meier or Willie? Because you could sign Meier and move Willie for assets.

You also need to send out another contract because you have a 51 man roster.

Leafs Land A Big Fish
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>KingExLeafs</b></div><div>Dismantled? Hardly.
On this roster Meier is making 3 million with 4 million left on the cap. Don't resign Engvall, that's 2.5 million extra. So Meier can be resigned and he would be the perfect left winger to Matthews and Marner. Bunting can't be brought back, but I'd prefer the Leafs pay a true power forward 8-9 million rather than pay Bunting 5 million and Engvall 3-4 million.</div></div>
The leafs really need to keep Knies for his ELC. If they do get TIMO and let Bunting walk than having Knies low cap hit is a must if he's going to be that good on LW.

So if the leafs trade for Gavrikov, do they re-sign him? If they do then they must trade Sandin or is Gavrikov the 3rd pairing d-man? Sandin isn't a 3rd pairing d-man so any LD trade for a long term signing means Sandin is done in Toronto.

Meier-Matthews-Marner, the 3M line would be the best in the league. Need to find someone else for Anderson, he isn't an NHL player imo.

They have tried multiple guys with Rielly. Maybe it's time to think Rielly is the issue and should be 2nd pairing d-man with no d-zone faceoff starts.

Kerfoot has been a bit of a ghost on the 4th line, imo. Idk if he fits the 4th line style. I liked the 3rd line Kerfoot-Kampf- Engvall, they controlled the majority of the play.

Engvall would be 7th on the oilers in scoring. Holl would be tied for 3rd in +/-. They would be far from cap dumps to the oilers.
