Well Well Well Who Do We Have Here
I'm still in shock. It looks like a complete fleece. Sounds like they're trying to signal to free agents *cough cough Giroux cough cough* just how serious they are. Sounds like they're in talks about Chychrun or Weegar too, plus Zaitsev could be gone tonight.
It's already been a banner day for the team, but it could end up the most significant day in franchise history. They could seriously be making the jump next season.

You guys do realize that these are all in large part, hindsight moves and not actual proposals. Like a "It would've been better if we went this route" type of deal

Yes. OP is going back into the past to when Kadri was traded to the Avs with 3 years remaining on a $4.5M AAV deal, not literally projecting the Kadri contract for this offseason.

Depends on what the more is but that’s a solid start. Saros in Edmonton would be a real solid pick up for them and would put them in true contender mode for years.

Highly Touted Top 9 and Top 4 Defence can make the Sens the next Colorado
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>jassan28</b></div><div>I have one dream for this Sens roster, as an outsider I wanna see Nazar and Norris as a 1-2 punch. Nazar is an elite 1st line center and USNDTP is a very reliable program to base this off of. Here's some numbers in the program.
Auston Matthews ran a 30 goal 68 point campaign in 44 games with the program.
Jack Eichel was a 33 goal 72 pointer in 59 games
And a recent rookie to walk in with phenomenal completeness is Matthew Boldy with a 29 goal 78 pointer in 62 games
Frank Nazar is an elite player with 35 goals to be the highest scorer of all 3 above and 71 points in 55 games. Beyond the highest ceiling player available in this draft skillwise</div></div>
ok I see that you're high on Nazar, but with Stutzle, Norris and Pinto, Sens don't really need a Center. They should draft a Winger or RHD
If teams in front of them take Savoie and Nazar, it means that one of Nemec or Jiricek will be available. I think Ottawa would be very happy with that

If we got the 2015 draft right
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>jassan28</b></div><div>Everyone would be picking Kaprisov Top 3 now if they had hindsight</div></div>
The craziest part about it is, nobody even knew Kaprizov existed prior to the 2015 draft, outside of 1 Wild scout. He was playing in the middle of Siberia for his hometown team. The only reason Minnesota knew of him and drafted him is because one of their amateur scouts had a flight home from Moscow and his plane had to emergency land in Kaprizov’s hometown due to excessive smog from California forest fires that had carried over into Russia. If those forest fires wouldn’t have happened, Kaprizov likely goes undrafted and would’ve signed as a free agent to a different team. One of the crazier ripple effects I personally know of.

How on Earth will the Players be Signed
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>jassan28</b></div><div>Gaudreau shouldn't be high at 12 million, he is the league's top 5 on 5 scorer by such a wide margin he'll be the best 5v5 player in 20 years. Not saying he should be paid like McDavid but clearly he will be a perennial 100 point player and Matthews signed at 14.64% of cap hit, Marner at 13.38% cap hit, McDavid at 16.67% cap hit, Gaudreau for a $82.5million cap hit deserves at least 14% so 11.5 mill / year so a similar contract to Matthews puts Gaudreay at $12 million, let me know if my take is off</div></div>
Matthews Marner and McDavid all signed those deals at age 21/22, not 30. Matthews and Marner also didn't sign 8 year deals. Do not compare players that aren't in remotely similar situations. The only way Gaudreau gets over 10M is with a different team because they can't offer him 8 years to bring the cap hit down. Players are also not paid based on cap hits, they are paid in contract totals. You are proposing Gaudreau will get 96M and at minimum 92M. Panarin the best comparable to Gaudreau skill, position, and playstyle wise got 81.5M in a non-flat cap. I would say your take is way off

Could also be Formenton-Greig-Pinto. Norris is the 2C of the future imo, so I don't think he'll be in that shutdown role. I think Pinto will be a really strong two way 3rd liner. Sens are doing a great job of collecting skilled prospects who are hard to play against and defensively responsible. Playing the Sens is going to be like pulling teeth.

5’11 198 at 18 is big and he’s strong. To me at least after about 12 it all boils down to preference. You have him, Jarvis, Mercer, amirov, Zary who are ranked at various spots. Out of those I named he easily has the best “tool box”. Hands are good, vision/passing is good and shot is lethal. He can also skate. Trevor Timmons likes players with good tools, and Perrault has some very good tools

That’s not a bad comp. I’d say I see a bit of Thomas Hickey. Reliable and smooth, may take a couple years of professional speed to get to the NHL, but his ability to move the puck will determine his level of success.
