Thread: Gus Bus

Guy missed an entire year of hockey, so the start of his season was an admitted struggle. He's really been playing well lately - completely agree, not $5.5M well, but I think he is an excellent M6 option.

I'd be cool with this. I also wouldn't mind Knies in place of Amirov. Generally, CBJ just need a young, high prospect who can spend a few years developing while being waivers exempt. Next year, with Johnson, Marchenko, and others coming, F spots are about to become limited.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>armer918</b></div><div>Switch Gus to Domi and we have a deal!</div></div>

I mean, watching CBJ games, I still believe in Domi's higher-end ability moreso than Gus. They've had largely flipped seasons so far - Domi was almost a PPG guy the first 20 games or so, then he got injured/ COVID, whereas Gus was almost invisible the first 20 games or so, but has turned it on since.

But, if ya'll want to replace Gus with Domi, it makes little difference to me. Only true difference is Gus has two years of control, whereas Domi is expiring. I expect CBJ to trade both either way.
