Who would they protect over Greenway?
Assuming they go the 8 skaters route for 4 defenseman.
Suter
Spurgeon
Dumba
Brodin
Kaprizov (Not sure if he is exempt or not)
Parise
Zuccarello
Greenway
Fiala (If Krill doesn't need to be protected)

Performance conditions allowed.
According to 4th period, Bruins were trying to get extension done before completing trade.</div></div>
Yes performance conditions are allowed, but not involving the playoffs. Changed because of the bubble last year with the possibility of changing playoff formats they changed that because of some controversy with the lightning deals last year. Also didn't think anything changed involving resigning stipulations. Could be rong about that, but I would say that Palmieri would also want that extension considering he lives in Boston in the offseason.

Really there should only be 14 buyers and everyone else should sell
Habs and Islanders are built for the playoffs, Bruins have no depth and are weak on the back end with too many injuries to count. Pitsburgh is no longer a top contender they don't have the goaltending or depth, and with Ekblad gone for the season Florida is going to have a rough time.
Only real top end contenders IMO are Washington, Vegas, Colorado, and Tampa.
That being said any team can get hot and go on a run.

Would have to be based on playoff performance, games played, etc. but not on re-signing.
I think it will take another piece. But not far off.</div></div>
Are you sure about the resigning aspect?
My understanding was the only changes to conditional picks is that they can't involve playoffs anymore.

Yeah hard to say they'll get a first right now while he's strictly a rental. maybe a conditional 2nd becomes a first if he resigns. But like said before I think NJ is looking for roster players.

I don't mind that Bruins trade. But do you think the deal could get done without a 1st? I feel like Boston is trying to hold that close and not lose it this year. Possibly Debrusk, Vaakanainen and a 2nd?

Question
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Userunknown</b></div><div>Of course they can. And Jones sucks anyway. If they trade Debrusk for a D man it will be an Ekholm/Lindholm tyoe. They have Mac and Grizz that are puck movers. The need is way overblown. They need a RW2 and an LD1 PP QB. Jones is a spare part.</div></div>
The need is puck movers throughout there lineup, one of the bigger problems Boston is currently having is making clean breakouts with any line when their top d pair is not on the ice. Pretty hard for secondary scoring to get going if they can't get out of their own end.

In what world? Jones has literally been better than all three at every level he has played at but they are all too new to the NHL to evaluate there yet.

Overreacting to Vladars hot start
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Caniac2000</b></div><div>You want some stats? Okay
In the 2018-19 playoffs you sited, Mrazek has the best save percentage above expected of any goaltender in the postseason. Mrazek had 2 shutouts yes, but that does not inflate those numbers, he does have to earn them. Discounting the Boston series in which he admitted he was playing with broken bones in his hand, his save percentage was still above .930! Mrazek is streaky, but he always has turned it on for the playoffs. Carolina's goaltending is NOT their weakness, and if you knew anything about the Canes you'd know that.</div></div>
Always turns it on in the playoffs? He has won 1 playoff series in his career LOL.
The Canes issue has been goaltending for years, this has been talked about throughout the media for years, as they've also been reportedly in on every goalie that has moved in the last 3 years. Apparently you may be the only person that doesn't see this lol.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Userunknown</b></div><div>Hell no. Jones is a 3rd pair guy that would be Bostons 5th LD.</div></div>
He definitely would not be Bostons 5th LD. Bruins are literally playing with an AHL LD lineup from last year and Caleb Jones was better than all of the in the AHL at least.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Caniac2000</b></div><div>He was injured and had a .930 going into that series 👍 Way to pick 1 series too,</div></div>
If you would like to look at that playoffs as a whole he had two shut outs which inflated his numbers for the majority of the rest of his games in which he was pulled from 3, and had a sub .900 sv percentage in 5 games. It is literally a fact that Carolinas weakness is goaltending. Even in the regular season Mrazek has had above a 0.910 sv percentage and below a 2.5 GAA once in the past 5 years. He is shaky at best and does not pull through when it matters most.

Yes Mrazek's .808 SV Percentage and getting pulled in final two games of Eastern conference final versus the Bruins is clearly a position of strength.
