Very Unrealistic
Agree with the title, however this does make you a lot more like the bruins in terms of depth, and playoff snarl. If only you guys had a dependable goalie I think you would be set. Still not sold on the "durability" and consistency of Samy and Murray over a 7 game series, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see!

Boone Jenner Vladislav Gavrikov and Sam Lafferty
"the thought of Jenner wanting to stick around and play for a bottom-feeder team with his compete level is hard to imagine"
You don't have to imagine it; he's confirmed several times over (by word and by deed) that he does indeed want to stick around. He <strong>did</strong> just sign that very team friendly extension, after all.

People are too serious here. We're all wannabes making fake trades on capfriendly. It's supposed to be fun!

Boone Jenner Vladislav Gavrikov and Sam Lafferty
You're off on why there are Gavrikov trade rumours. They're not shopping him because they think they can get a good price for him. They're shopping him because he wants too much money/term and they're not willing to meet it. They'd prefer to re-sign him and in fact they're still trying to negotiate a contract with him, but it's probably not going to happen.
If Jenner didn't want to stick around through some lean years he wouldn't have signed an extension and taken the captaincy after Foligno, Savard, Jones, Dubois and Atkinson were traded away. He wants to be a career Blue Jacket. That's just the way it is.

Interesting. I’ll have to look it up.

What would it take
Hagel - first plus prospect, ie way too much to even try
Myers - maybe a 2nd? I don't really know
Schenn - 4th rounder, maybe a 3rd if it got competitive
DeMelo - as much as a 2nd or as low as a 3rd would be my guess

Leafs in on Manson
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>jchafe77</b></div><div>YES I remember him. Him and Eric Wellwood are doing a deadly job here with the Growlers. IMO, they shaped Kristians Rubins out to be a really good reliable shutdown defender when he was here last year. Did a fantastic job with him. Cant say any other players down here will make their way to the NHL, but there are some potentials in my honest opinion. We got about 3-4 newfies on the team, and they treats it like this is the show, playing for their home province. You might recognize some of their names: James Melindy, Marcus Power and Zach O'Brien. We even had Adam Pardy here one year before he called it a career.
Liljegren and SDA also got into a game or two here as well</div></div>
Yes b'y! He was an assistant coach with the Oshawa Gen's until Covid, so they moved home to PEI. This came up super late, and he was supposed to join the UPEI coaching staff, but the Leafs organization is pretty great with internal promotions and what-not, so there was no way he could say no. By all accounts, the organization is top notch.

I think Matthews could be a good penalty killer but I would rather he not. The opposition is going to send out their best players on the PP so when they come off and you can send Matthews JT and Nylander out vs 3rd or 4th liners, that could swing the play the other way in a big way.

Revisiting the Buffalo Trade from Yesterday

In other posts nearly all of them hate Ritchie and Holl yet here they do not think Crouse and Hinostroza would add.
No sense in arguing, Karmanos did really well adding Pysyk and Hinostroza while getting Hagg in a trade for Ristolainen.
I actually hope both Hagg and Hinostroza sign with Buffalo next year.
Hagg for depth and Hinostroza as the fourth RW behind Tuch, Quinn and Okposo.

TDL 2022
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>jchafe77</b></div><div>tbh with ya, I'm in the same boat when it comes to thinking about the future. Yeah, id be happy with having Klingberg, but id be more intrigued with a Scott Mayfield or a Ben Chariot, as they come at a cheaper expense, that way, we hold on to the future's. Its only a matter of time before the likes of Robertson, Amirov, Niemela and Knies joins the team</div></div>
Exactly.
Leafs could have a very good LW group within a couple of years of Bunting, Robertson, Amirov and Knies and it would cost them likely $6M or less. All 3 of the prospects are looking like surefire NHL locks (barring injuries/more injuries). If they can have some playoff success, they still have work to do this summer (Campbell, Mrazek, Ritchie, etc.), but past that, if they give out the right term to their RFAs, they can be in solid shape for awhile, in terms of prospects/youth replacing vets and good amount of cap flexibility.
