Islanders year 1

I’d rather target Pulock or Dobson. Horvat would be great for the Jets as their 2C though

Kane and Trade Deadline Possibilities
Rumor is Nino is signing an extension in Winnipeg. His agent came into town this week and it sounds like Nino likes it here. He’s (as well as Iafallo) is exactly the kind of middle six we have needed since we lost Tanev and Perrault

Islanders
Pulock would take our 1st plus one of Barlow/McG/Salmon/Lucius and add in a roster player for cap purposes, that would be at least and they may want more. He’s exactly what we need and why it would cost a boatload. He would also need to waive.
Chevy should have pushed hard for Dobson in the offseason with an overpay. Too late now, he’s rebounding nicely.

Fixing the D
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Rajvinder</b></div><div>In what way?
Winnepeg gets a top 6C and a RD. They are currently playing Samberg on his offside which he's been outspoken about not liking and you have a RW as your 2nd line center.
For a team that wants to compete this trade solves some major issues.</div></div>
Samberg has been consistently getting better and better and the Jets appear to be grooming him for the 2LD behind Morrissey. He’s big, mobile, has a good first pass and is cheap for 2 more years. I would say if Chevy was to make a move, it would be for another like him in RD form. Timmins ain’t it.
I would imagine once Heinola is back, Chevy will clear the logjam at left D via trades or waivers.
Domi, while affordable, is only signed this year. His m-o for trades usually involve players under team control or term. I also question your assertion that Domi is a T6C. I’ve watched him for years going back to Junior in London, and while he’s talented, I disagree. He would be fantastic as a LW with Lowry though.

Tbl offseason
Jets goaltending is set and would take an overlay to get Croissant. Delia is probably getting waived though

Hellebuyck
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>AntiAnalytics</b></div><div>You’re gonna have to take Cap back
Teams out there aren’t gonna have room for Hellebuyck otherwise
And if you’re trading Hellebuyck, i assume that means rebuild
So having Campbell on your books for a few years isn’t gonna hurt u guys at all
If anything, he probably helps u guys tank & get better draft picks out of it</div></div>
True, but the better option would be to eat 50% of Hellys cap to maximize the return as a rental without taking on an anchor of a contract. It will cost Edmonton a lot for a team to eat that IMO

Not with Campbells anchor contract it isn’t.

Going for it at TDL
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>PHEN</b></div><div>Not if at the TDL like I said and Jets are out of it. Or Hele says he won’t sign back. If in the hunt then no they take their chances but if out then it is a good return. Especially if teams no Hele can be a UFA</div></div>
It’s not a good return, it’s absolute trash. If the Jets are out of it by the TDL they will want futures, not 2 soon to be UFAs and a bottom 4 defender. Ostlund is ok, but you would need a better prospect in here with the three going your way and the pick should be a first regardless.
Jets get more by splitting them up to 3 different teams.
