It’s going to suck to lose him, he was an absolute beauty and will be missed but hope he gets some serious chances at some cups.
That said, LA definitely has some good pieces to get him.</div></div>
LA had kicked tires on Saros. They may circle back but idk. Like you said now with hellybuck stating won’t resign like you said. LAs priority should be him. Than the other 2 goalies. He’s older than the other 2 but at this point I don’t care I think he’s the best of the 3 and whatever else goaltender is out there on the market
He can give the kings a strong playoff push next season and maybe even resign him at a decent deal. Maybe 4/8AAV with the cap going up and arvidsson off the books next year. Idk, im crossing my fingers Blake gets a good #1 goalie this offseason.

Kings have very good prospects to get it done. This offer probably yes but kings can swing a deal if they want him.
And no it doesn’t cost Byfield or Clarke. Just throwing that out there now

I've never been on board with trading Beck lol I've pretty well been Dvorak, Kidney, FLA 1st (as long as it was 17 or later) since the start of this debacle. Just really seemed to fit the mold of an adequate trade imo.

Dvorak, Kidney, FLA 1st was a fair deal to begin with and it's a fair deal now. Let's get the 8 x $$ sign and trade over with so we can all move on from PLD trades ...

Yeah I think the Avs do that pretty quick, probably add a pick from COL tbh, not that they have many.

No shade at helly, the Sabres dont move first rounders/top prospects. Just isnt a deal that fits the GMs risk profile.

NJD has lots of wingers and really don't want the cap of Connor...though he's on a nice contract. Nemec is just too good give up.....Six years of control verses three years
Winnipeg certainly has better ice finishing. I dunno if the Sabres want to overpay for Hellebuyck as a UFA, the have their RFA contract coming up, and really is Hellebuyuck that special? Look at the good UFAs goalies available this year.

Can't see Canucks moving down for that. They also have a logjam of young LHD (Rathbone, Hirose, D Petey) and don't need to move anyone to be under the cap with Poolman LTIRetired. If Jets were interested in Garland, a mid pick and Dillon makes sense to pair with Hronek to see if Hirose or D Petey are ready next year.

Canucks decline. They aren't paying to dump Garland and have no need for Heinola. We have enough young LHD vying for the 3rd pair spot with Rathbone, Hirose, and Pettersson all there as well as Dermott if we resign him. Without Myers, OEL is our only defenceman above 6 foot, the last thing we need is more small defencemen.

I do get it though, but I could definitely see some variation of this that could work for both teams. You guys could lose a pick or good prospect and really not miss a beat</div></div>
I dont disagree with any of that, but the GM doesn't believe that. The Sabres aren't moving first round picks or top prospects as long as Adams is GM.

If the Bratt thing turns south...we'd probably just trade Bratt for another winger.
Nemec is a future cornerstone...we have plenty of other trade chips to improve.
Connor on Hughes line would be nice though.
(and the Jet who is probably on NJD radar is Niederreiter)

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>jgimp69</b></div><div>Would Boeser and his larger cap hit be worth moving for. I just remember reading recently that they may possibly be looking to move cap and utilizing 11OA to do it. I was just thinking it could be a win win. FWIW, Heinola also plays the right side.</div></div>
Canucks are looking to clear cap. Boeser, along with Garland and Myers seem like the ones to be on the block. Boeser's value probably sits around a 2nd. He's been a pretty consistent 20 goal scorer sitting around the 50 point range. He's hit 20 goal 4 of his 6 seasons in the league, with the 2 years he didn't being 2020 where the season was cut short due to covid, and this year, where he had 18 goals (he was on pace to hit 20 in a full 82 games both seasons he didn't hit the mark). His downfall comes in the defensive zone, where to be blunt he is not good. He could be a good player to buy low on with the hopes he can put all the pieces together, as he still very much has the potential to become a 30 goal scorer.
As for the part about them willing to move pick 11 to do so, I don't buy it. It seems a lot more like speculation rather than actual insider information. I have yet to see those rumours actually come from a credible source. To me, it more or less seems like those rumours of the Canucks willingness to move 11 are coming from unreliable sources that are just throwing things at the wall to see what sticks to draw people in.
Even if Heinola can play the right side, he still isn't really of interest to the Canucks. He's still a small d-man who to my knowledge, is more of an offensively minded guy than a defensively minded one. Vancouver has lots of offensively minded d-men, and need some defensively minded ones to compliment them. They also prefer to play their defensemen on their natural side. They did try playing both Hughes and OEL on the right side during the preseason last year, but neither of them worked out at all. The only guy they've used on his offside in my memory is Kyle Burroughs, who is a righty that plays both sides. They usually use him on the right side, but have used him on the left paired with a righty as well, but I think that's more so that they really like his play and want to keep his toughness in the lineup.

Nope Garland has no value to the jets. The trade here is fair and expecting Dillon and a mid pick is a pipe dream lol

COL would be interested in Scheifle but they aren’t trading Newhook because they are short of centers already and Schiefle would be a pure rental.

I would not pay 2 2nds though because Schmidt is still a servicable 5/6 and even top 4 on a team like the ducks. Whereas Petersen isn't even posting backup numbers (so basically dead cap).</div></div>
Reading over my original comment, I see now that some edginess crept into it, and I want to commend you for not sinking to the bait -- I think you replied with good grace. My asperity comes from watching my Kings getting demolished by the Oilers while I'm here on CF.

But it is rare. The UFA market is quite thin this summer, so I could see a couple rights moves, but probably later picks.
Sevo may be signing in WPG anyway, seems like it has always been talked about as his next stop.
