Adding Foot Soldiers

I don't disagree with you, just curious how the Rangers can make it work for next year cap wise.

Moderately Aggressive Trade Deadline

Big overvalue</div></div>Not a troll. TB's window with this current group is this year and next with Kucherov, Point and Gourde all having their contracts expire by then. McDonagh becomes their 2nd LD for this year and next. It's a lot to get back, but I don't think Gorton would be crazy if he asked for this package back.

Rebuild on the backend (TBL-FLA-NYR)
As a Rangers fan, I would not be happy giving up Sean Day, a defenseman who could become a top RD, for two years of Edler.

Tomas Tatar trade
Very good idea on both sides. You could argue that Holland is so desperate to shed long-term cap space that Vegas could acquire Tatar for even less than what you offered.

I'd be content...
Arizona would absolutely laugh at that offer. Murphy is a realistic target for Stepan but Keller is a key future cog for Arizona and their 1st round pick is the 7th pick. Holden is nothing more than a #5 defenseman, at best.
If you offer Stepan and Holden, you'd get Murphy back and maybe Deangelo or another young player.

Pretty realistic to what might happen this year. The Nash trade is interesting.

NYR Trade
I'm a Rangers fan and the trade offer intrigues me. Klein is a straight up dump, and Nash is a guy that the Rangers should move to clear cap space for better use of their money. Fasching's stock has come down, but he's a big forward with long-term intrigue. The picks are fair. I like that trade offer.

Rangers retool: Trade Stepan and Raanta
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>NateElder12</b></div><div>Stepan doesn't get you Ellis. Maybe J.T. Miller and a pick for Ellis.</div></div>But adding Craig Smith as a contract to eat was part of my package that would entice Nashville. It allows them to protect Jarknok.

On the positive, as a Rangers fan, I don't think the Nash trade is awful.

As a Rangers fan, I'd love for these trades to happen, but aside from the Nash/Carolina trade, you are smoking some incredible weed.

I like the Nash trade...I'll use it on my next Rangers Armchair GM! Very realistic trade.

Could you explain to me your Skeji to SJ trade? Martin is a good NHL defenseman, but I'd rather take my chances developing Skeji at 4 million less than Martin. I think Skeji is already a solid NHL defenseman and he could develop to be something special. I just did some research on Labanc...love that he's a NYC kid and he's putting up unreal numbers in the OHL, but can he translate that junior success to the pros?
