Mr. FC is very versatile, can play any position, has a low cap hit and has already added Butcher, Boychuk, Subban and a fifth.
Petry has produced 9 pts in 42 games but has a $6,250,000 Salary until 2025.

Barrie led ALL NHL defenseman with 48 points in only 56 games.
He may have issues in his own zone, but he would fit right into the Granato system of the defense joining the rush.
He certainly would not be paired with Dahlin, but IMO Granato would find a spot in the line up.
DID MENTION BUFFALO IS GETTING A FIRST?
DID I MENTION BARRIE LED ALL NHL DEFENSEMEN WITH 48 POINTS IN 56 GAMES LAST YEAR?
REINHART HAD ONLY 40 POINTS LAST YEAR.

this really is the issue on him.
There are multiple players this year like this.
There will be one of two things happening this offseason.
1. Either a lot of players will hit UFA early.
2. A lot of teams will be signing some really suspect contracts.

Health has always been a major concern. He can't stay healthy.
He only has 14 so far this season so not on pace for 30.
The potential is there and so are the tools, but If he's gonna take top-6 minutes away from either Peyton Krebs or Jack Quinn then I don't want him.
Tuch is definitely better and I think Quinn will be as soon as next year.
7.5M for a 3rd liner is a lot when we could get Garland for the same package and potential at 4.5M.
Garland also is a 5v5 phenom.

From another team sure. Bjork doesn’t play over the rangers current LW (arguably all the RWs top) and Miller doesn’t play over the rangers current RD.

Rangers most likely decline. Korczak is looking like a steal, and he is a decent prospect for the Rangers at C (where they have a huge lack of depth), Miller does not have a position in their system currently and would be a 5th RD (Fox, Trouba, Schneider, Lundkvist, and then Miller). Bjork does not offer anything the Rangers do not have already (plus they have better bottom 6 LW available (especially once Blais comes back)).

Don’t think rangers do that. Bjork was a throw in for the hall trade and isn’t that good. Miller doesn’t help as the rangers have 4 RHD to play above him (fox, Trouba, Schneider and nils). You are also asking them to trade a decent center prospect when that’s their weakest position.

Something tells me Tampa will find some way of keeping Cernak, or at least drawing a late 1st for him.
Miller at 50% retention should get a 2nd

Gonna cost most than they're willing to pay. Tampa doesn't NEED to move cap out. It'd give them more breathing room, but they've got the room to just roll this group back again without possibly Palat.
