Drouin Domi trades
I think the value in both trades is good, but I don't think the Jets do that trade. They seem to really like Roslovic. Maybe change it to a first and Ves, like was said above

Draft Day MB saves his job
Gourde is horrible, has no value except as a salary dump included with sergachev, so that trade is very bad for MTL. Im not against acquiring Gourde in a Serg trade but would have to be much less then that, also he would be a 4th liner maybe 3rd
Same with Okposo, horrible contract to take on, you would never get a 2nd or a 3rd for him in a future trade. He is a 4th liner or healthy scratch at this point.

i would maybe add a third coming to MTL along with Brodin, other then that i like it.
Don't think they would trade Dumba and Brodin though

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>McGruff</b></div><div>Cheers Coop, not trying to rag (too hard) but so many different scenarios as mentioned in above posts. Really tho, it's the same story for all teams; Bruins had three in a row which is the rarity.
DeBrusk - solid
Zboril - franchise depth is slowing his jump to NHL
Seny - definitely off the board BUT did score 40+ twice in junior! He has looked good but obviously not good enough because they just got Kase...
<em>note: Barzal had major knee issues in 2014-15...</em>
B's have done just fine in the last decade both on the ice and off (Cup, Finals trips, Pasta 25th pick, McAvoy 14th, Carlo 37th, Grz 85th, Heinen 116th, Krug Free Agent, Kuraly and Coyle trades) yadda yadda yadda</div></div>

your right, you can never know for sure. The Bruins are a legit contender right now, whos to say they would be if they made those picks.
I just wanted to see how it would look if they drafted different because there were definitely better guys out there

not a bad pick at all, just bad in hindsight for the players drafted after him and the fact they had 3 in a row makes it stand out, You think debrusk is better the Aho, Barzal, or Connor?

I did a redraft in the mock draft section. I figure all the picks up until 13 where the bruins 3 came would have stayed the same, which is why I only replaced their picks with players that were drafted later then 15.
Every team has poor draft choices in their past, but these 3 from the bruins stand out as being particularly bad

If Chabot was chosen McAvoy probably wouldn't have been drafted the next year.

I hope MTL hangs onto Petry and even tries to extend him on July 1st. he has been a rock solid player in a dark time for the team.

off season trade with MTL
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>coga16</b></div><div>well you are being dumb with that statement, just bc you make a wild assumption about the Avs and Byram doesnt mean if they were interested in moving him they would move him for lesser talent.
Come on give your head a shake, they wouldn't include him in any sort of Hall talk...and you think the Avs would move him for Domi...a guy that Montreal fans are trying to run out of town for his disappointing season
Sign me up for a guy who is struggling for the Avs top and considered one of the top prospect sin the entire NHL. Do you see how delusional your logic is
Byram could be moved in a blockbuster deal, any prospect can, but to actually think Domi and his status as a player is in the same conversation of a Byram trade, thats just living on another planet talk</div></div>
Man some fans on this site are dumb. You are a joke, so calm down.
I said that the trade I made probably wasn't realistic but that there is no way the Avs would consider him untouchable, when they are all in for a shot at the cup right now. Its armchair gm, it for fantasy purposes, not trying to land a job with the nhl here. Seems like you think you are already on the Avs payroll.
Damn you know what, now that I think of it the top scout in the organization was named COGA16 lol

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>coga16</b></div><div>he made a Montreal roster of this trade and his logic is Avs have so many good young dman they dont need Byram and can afford to move him.
Yeah thats not going to happen</div></div>
Its dealing from a position of strength to add to a position of weakness. This trade may not be the one that works, that's why I'm on armchair gm not an actual gm, but at least I am not stupid enough to think that a young defencemen on a roster full of them would be untouchable. The only untouchable on the Avs defence would be Makar. Byram is a great prospect but he is not the second coming of Bobby Orr. How about using some logical thinking before you post.

back in the playoffs
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>coga16</b></div><div>what planet do you live on that you think Domi gets you Byram and Jost</div></div>
Domi didn't get that.
Domi Fleury and a 2nd did, which is a fair deal. Jost is a 4th liner, hasn't proven other wise. Byram is a stud prospect for sure, but Domi, a young top 6 forward, Fleury, a young, big defenceman with a lot of potential and a pick in the top half of the second round in a deep draft like this year is fair compensation.
Colorado has a lot of good young defencemen but are missing a top 6 winger. Deal works for both sides
