19th this year and Brock Faber. You wanted an unprotected 2023 in a much better draft. Honestly the offer I gave is better then what y’all got

That's why I keep telling your fans give us 2023 unprotected and keep the rest of the stuff. Our team and our prospect pool is really good minus a few spots. And you guys keep throwing stuff at trade that makes sense for you to get rid of but for us to not take because it makes us worse.
I don't know why I have to keep explaining this.</div></div>

LA and NJ swap young D reuploaded
Fitzy likes big D men. I don’t see us moving Bahl unless it’s in a bigger deal. I know of grans but haven't watched. If devils don’t pick a right D (nemec or jiricek) at 2 we are light in the pipeline on right handed d men. So the may be a deal to be made. If it’s for Smith, even after a bad year LA would have to add. However I don’t think either team would move on just yet. Maybe next offseason

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BackstromIsTheGoat</b></div><div>is zacha just bad? caps are paying literally nothing for him, vitek isnt a starter level goalie</div></div>
I guess he’s probably worth more than Vitek then. He scores when he is being carried by other play drivers in top 6 but underlying numbers are never good. He’s more of a wing than a center but could play center if necessary. I think based on what he provides and what he’s going to cost because he has scored over the last couple of years, the devils just want to move on. Never played up to his draft potential but is still a middle 6 forward. Change of scenery may help him.

This is just for fun, so it probably isn’t going to happen. However, I think you’re going to be disappointed with what you get back.
A first in what is supposed to be a great draft class, a former 1st who is just about NHL ready and a mid 6 winger retained to help cap is a fair offer

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Ledge_And_Dairy</b></div><div>I would say there is a pretty decent chance they trade him this offseason. Not for that though</div></div>
Agree to disagree.
His value has dipped significantly. Doesn’t make sense to move him in my mind. He had down year which is supposedly due to injuries. I think they plan to get him healthy this off-season and then have him compete with someone for the starters job in 22/23 and hopefully have a 1a 1b situation. Following year reassess and move a goalie

Yeah, I agree.
I think that’s a really good offer if the extension is included. Bertuzzi is the type of player I think Fitzy wants and we do lack. A guy who is hard to play against but also has skill. I’m personally on the fence but would probably pull the trigger on that move depending on the contract

All good! Totally makes sense why the wings wouldn’t. He’s the future goalie for them which is why I thought it was a really weird idea.
I think even in a down year for the draft Fitzy is going to want too much to move from 2 which is why the devils I think will stay put. Hopefully they don’t screw it up

Yeah. That’s what I said in the description.
This is what the athletic said,” But, if Detroit wants to extend Bertuzzi instead, another avenue that could get New Jersey’s attention would be dangling last season’s No. 15 pick Sebastian Cossa. Such a move would be a shocker, given Cossa’s status as the goalie of the future in Detroit, with no real challenge”
Went on to say it would be a long shot though which I totally agree with.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Digitalbooya06</b></div><div>That Minnesota trade is a no for me. I wouldn't want Tatar for the same reason I wouldn't want Olofsson from Buffalo or Beauvillier from NYI. The 1st has too much protection on it and Boqvist is a pretty mediocre prospect in my books. Not enough value from a Minnesota perspective to trade Fiala.</div></div>
Realistically, what do you think Minnesota can get for Fiala?
just for reference, I based my trade on the following:
Last year Sam Reinhart was in a similar spot age and contract wise and Florida got him at the draft for next years (this year now) top 10 protected first and a Devon Levi. Levi was drafted in the 7th round the yr prior and then had a lights out world junior but was hurt the rest of the year.
Fiala has put up better numbers than Reinhart no doubt which is why i added. I think Foote should be a much better prospect that is basically NHL ready, a roster player who has a history of putting up points, and the likelyhood of the Devils first rounder being a much better spot than florida based on where the team is at.

Fitzy said we have too many of the same players and Crouse fits what i feel like he may want. I actually tried to adjust it to a third and bo but kept getting an error.
For the Wild, I get what you mean with Tatar. He was an add for some depth scoring while their young studs like Boldy and Rossi are taking their next step. He's gone after next year and I ate some of Tatar's salary.

Niemela obviously is the main piece here. Holl is really a cap dump / roster size move. Pick is upgraded to first rounder because it’s a year off and also eating salary on severson for this year and next

Washington needs to move out a goalie in order to get a steady between presence. Maybe bringing in tatar doesn’t make sense from the cap standpoint there but also figured they need adoring depth

I was thinking that was an option. Palat would most likely be the player they take in that scenario.
You see it as better for the team to lose palat for free rather than get a first rounder in return for Foote?

Some minor changes I have are that I think Nolan Foote is ready for the NHL. He's looked good in the NHL in his first few games. So switch him with Trav. Another change is to OS Foote. I like the idea of getting him, but we could get him for cheaper if we offersheet him. But overall, great job on this</div></div>
Thanks!
Nolan Foote - I think he is going to get games it’s just a struggle with not making the roster too young. It’s not that I fully want Trav back but he helps fill the 3C that I don’t think Boqvist has shown he can do yet while helping mentor the young guys still. With that said I still could see him bouncing back and forth between the NHL and AHL.
Cal Foote - I just don’t see us offer sheeting. It’s annoying but they’re never used.
