Sounds good to me. Change of scenery for both. I know he's worn out his welcome in NJ but what's Zacha's issue? Any hope of turning it around and playing center?

Not likely and only if you never want a high end FA to sign in Boston for a loooonnnngggg time. He chose them over everyone else for a very reasonable cost and Marchand might miss half the season. Plus he has wanted to be a Bruin since he was a kid.

Biggest issue I see is the contract. He just takes up too much of the cap and with the expected delayed start of McAvoy, Gryz and Marchand you can't afford him at that cost to play bottom 6. I'm not even sure the Kunin contract is manageable at this point.

Ideal Boston Offseason
Doubt Kuraly will be back, need a Kevan Miller type Rd for when Clifton gets overwhelmed or Carlo gets hurt and someone to replace Rask for the first half of the season.

I like the players you added and subtracted. Your values and contracts need some more attention.

Who says no to this
This isn't even remotely close to equal value on the Bruins end. I'd rather have Seth Jones for a year and hope to resign him or Forsberg at the deadline.

Pool party for Debrusk makes more sense on the Bruins end. Benson, Jones, Bear and Kassian that everyone is trading them don't. They might as well keep Debrusk and hope he rebounds. Maybe Yamamoto.

Bruins won't go into the season with that much cap space. Debrusk will be protected, Kuraly won't be resigned. With that much cap space you can give more to Hall, Krejci, Rask, Ritchie, Carlo and Reilly.

Kase's qualifying offer is 2.6m otherwise he is a UFA. The Bruins aren't paying him that. There may be an opportunity for him to sign for less.

Probably true, he had a good year. A guy like Di Giuseppe likely get more. Does Simmonds or Thornton return?

Ya, was looking at expansion after I posted this. Leafs are really limited as they only have Kerfoot, Engvall, Holl and Hutchinson to expose to meet requirements. Protecting Matthews, Marner, Tavares, Nylander, Reilly, Brodie, Muzzin and Campbell.

BRUINS FANS HELP
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Marcsnack</b></div><div>Why do you guys think this? I know Ritchie has been on a slump, but Frederic doesnt really put up any numbers. I know his role is to be more of a physical guy/disturber. I guess you guys really like what he brings in that regard? Also, he isnt even playing in the NHL right now.</div></div>
Lots of reasons. Still on ELC, Ritchie might command up to $5m this off season. Younger, a center and winger, more potential for growth, crowd likes him, teammates like him, competitive. I think we just watch Ritchie's best season and he still doesn't seem to care most of the time. He has better hands and great size but was a product of a good pp early in the season. It wouldn't surprise me if Sweeney didn't resign him this off season just because of his contract demand, anything over $3.5m is too much.

The beef

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Shane_Kelly</b></div><div>Also the breakout would be an absolute nightmare. only one man (mcavoy) can push the pace and move the puck out of the zone without having to wrap it 90% of the time.</div></div>
I think Krug is not coming back. Grizz can fill some of that, McAvoy will improve. Carlo might have some room to grow, Clifton is fiesty, small and some puck skills. Moore is what he is at this point and I don't see any puck skills on Lauzon. That leaves Zboril who requires waivers, so this is his year. Chara will most likely be back it seems. Vaak should spend another year in Providence. That's all 8 spots spoken for.
I was doing this for fun because the Bruins will probably have a very boring off-season. I have hopes for an upgrade for second line winger. Don't see any particular good available options.
