Roy Is going to be just a massive overpay as LA is not keen on moving him.
Durzi is almost certainly not going anywhere unless he is apart of a larger package to attain LA’s off-season goals. That being said I’ll say most likely a second, and solid prospect gets them to move him.
Walker is the most likely to be moved he can probably be had for a 3rd unless there becomes a bidding war. I truly think he is a very smart and capable second RHD on a roster and you just have to love his work ethic and story coming in as an unstaffed AHL signing to this. Truly remarkable.

Since you’re actually a decent fan and know what you’re talking about I’ll share with ya my other 2 favorite options for D
Joel Edmundson and Brendan Dillon both are on expiring contracts but bring the grit and stability the kings need. I just don’t see Blake making another move for a rental that if he plays good will price themselves out of la.

I see what you’re saying, just being honest the kings cannot pay for a top tier shutdown defenseman on the free agent market, and cannot afford the cap hit for a trade while still addressing other needs. Something has to give.

I agree Durzi’s weaknesses were exploited this year fs, but this is part of development for young d men especially in todays game. I feel as if his upside far exceeds his downside at this point. Although he is very easily moveable I feel we run it back this year and if things regress again we cut our losses.

Leddy is old but he’s got good experience and did a wonderful job as Seiders D partner in Detroit. I feel he would be an amazing comp to get in adding Clarkes development. Someone who is steady and smart and comes at an affordable cost. Because let’s be realistic anything over 5m Aav for Gavrikov is ludicrous

Oh yes sir I agree, Graves is the crown jewel of this free agency defensive class, unfortunately I feel like he is gonna get priced out of LA’s range.

That’s fair, at the end of the day we aren’t in the front offices making these deals and can only go off of history and I feel that somewhere in the neighborhood of a 2nd and a b or c prospect is fair for someone with his production. I love having hockey conversations with people like you. Makes it all the more fun ! 👍

What do you think is a fair return from Detroit? I would imagine he can get at least a 2nd and a 3rd or top 10 prospect from a team. I think Detroit starts to turn up there shot at being competitive and this is a smart way on an expiring contract to do so and if it does not work out by mid season they can recoup picks from contenders.

I agree to an extent. I don’t believe the walker cap hit is enough for la to consider and it seems that Roy is here for the long haul in la unless it’s a massive return from somewhere.

Would rather have Dumolin than Leddy.
No need for Laughton, Lizotte and Kupari are good bottom-6 centers and got better as the season went on.
Why is Detroit buying a 1-year rental?</div></div>
Did you watch any of Pittsburghs defense this year? Dumolin was atrociously bad. Will be lucky if he fetches a multi year deal anywhere.

It’s similar to the leddy trade you guys did a few years back, if things don’t work out, you dump him at the deadline and recoup your picks. Classic Stevey y

A different Eichel trade
Byfield is not going anywhere, realistically Eichel is playing for Los Angeles or New York next year as those are the only teams that have the assets and the cap space to make it happen. I just think the buyers will have the upperhand here and the deal is going to be underwhelming, something similar to what the Sens got for Karlsson.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>tackerman1970</b></div><div>Not bad. I like the realism of promoting from within, and my guess is that's exactly what our D looks like. No way we get rid of Gaborik though and why Miller? Seems like a big overpay for a backup...</div></div>
I remember reading a rumor on twitter a couple of weeks ago that said Miller wanted to come to Los Angeles because his wife is a actress and he wanted to find a place to settle down after hockey, and I don't think it is a overpay because the Kings missed the playoffs last season due to Quick being out and bad goalie play from Bishop, having someone like Miller to play 25 to 35 games will take the work load off of Quick and give them basically another starting goalie and if worst comes to worst Miller is on a pretty affordable contract for most teams in need of a goalie and he could be moved at the trade deadline.

Gaborik will be out at least until the start of training camp with a surgery relating to a chronic issue with his knee. The Kings described it as a "more in depth procedure". And with Greene he has had a lingering back issue that has found him on the IR for the good majority of the last 2 years and could potentially cause him to retire.

Doughty??
Why would the Kings trade their best Prospect, a top 5 NHL defenseman, and their former captain for a troubled winger, a young unproven but talented center and a couple picks. This just doesn't make sense for a team that should be making moves to win now.

Jim Nill the Dallas GM says he wants to move the 3rd overall pick for a proven player whether it be a winger, center, or defense. Gaborik can be that player if he is healthy. Greene can be a low cost replacement to Hunwick and he also brings in a veteran presence having been apart of 2 Stanley cup winning teams. Thanks for the feedback I really appreciate it.

Kings
First of all thanks for the feedback, and I do like the idea of the Galchenyuk trade but I do not think that Carter will be traded he means to much to the Organization with his leadership in the locker room. And I do think that Gaborik will be dealt and Dallas seams like a strong option Because the Dallas GM Jim Nill stated that he wants an established player back whether it be a strong Center, a scoring winger or a Power Forward. And if Gaborik is healthy he is a very lethal winger, the Problem is he is very rarely healthy. Dallas moves back 8 picks and still get a decent prospect as well as a veteran winger which is something a playoff contending team needs. And I believe that Brown will be taken in the expansion draft because he has experience as a Captain and has playoff experience something Gerard Gallant The Vegas coach will want with a First year team. Thanks again for the feedback.
