One last run
MIchael Bunting has as many 50+ point seasons as Wilson does (and actually hit 60 points that year) and one less 20 goal season in 7 less seasons. this board would burn itself down if a leafs fan asked for half of that for him
Wilson remains the most over rated player this place has seen that isnt a Hab

As of right now, Leafs are cap compliant activating Murray and can sign Knies. If anything, Holl is being included in a cap dump for a top 6 forward retained. Who that is? no idea.
idk why you think they don't have leverage

All the trolling by wings fans over the last couple of days claiming that for the leafs to get Bertuzzi (50% retained) it had to be 2023 1st and a real good prospect (Minten/Knies) or young roster player like Liljegren were wrong again, just more hot air from people on this site who operate under the attitude of I'm right and you are wrong. 2024 1st and a 2025 4th for Bert is a far cry from that, then this hilarious Vrana proposal.
People need to stop stating their opinions and demands as facts and get back to having a reasonable discussion, its hard to even read the comment sections on this site anymore.

Towards year end, we are seeing top contenders for the worse posts of the calendar year. This might be the champ.
Dumba makes the top 6 and Hartman is injured. Even if Hartman was healthy, it's just awful for the Leafs

Ive seen enough of your comments to realize that youre that guy that thinks he knows everything and everyones comments and posts are garbage since no one is on your level... but Hartman is absolutely what the Leafs need.. grit, defensively strong, and adds some offensive ability to any 3rd line. But you keep on with the arrogant schtick.. if thats what works for you then you just keep on keeping on... but just move on to another post as the adults are talking here.</div></div>
my my, you're real angry today. Santa must have left you some coal or something.
Listen champ, Hartman is a decent 3rd liner who is ok defensivly. His offensive ability, outside of one season is worse than Kerfoot and his defensive metrics are at best 'fine'. The best part of this is you're acting like i said Hartman was a below replacement level 13th forward when I simply stated that he is in no way half as valuable as you make him out to be either in the AGM or your follow up comments. He's the kind of guy who is worth a pair of 3rds at the deadline, which is good value for a 0.4 career ppg 3rd liner.
I mean, talk about arrogance, so much rage and pompously assumptive crap because you saw Hartman's offensive lines from last year and clearly didnt dig any deeper.
Your AGM is bad, the value is bad, your defense of it is bad.

no, it's not closer at all, you just tipped the value upside down. The canucks arnt getting a 22 year old cost controlled and improving 2nd pair defender, a 1st in 23 and more for a pending ufa on a shooting percentage bender let alone getting Nylander for him.

wow, that hawks trade is exceptionally terrible for toronto. There isnt enough coming to toronto to get samsonov alone let alone Sandin and more. Just horrific, potential top 10 worst trades of all time bad.
The Coyotes trade is also bad, Bjugstad stinks and Ghostbear is the last thing the leafs need.

Okposo has a better chance next year with Buffalo than Toronto? Come on now, Buffalo needs a #1 goalie and then has to make the playoffs first before that could be a thought. You'd have been better off to say that KO could go to TB, Colorado, etc.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>kster34</b></div><div>You brought up the Leafs bud :tearsofjoy . A lot of rival fans do - latent jealousy or something. Leafs are the most popular team in the league so pretty normal for fanbase that large to have variety of opinions about a variety of players. Holl (Kerfoot, Engvall) the most controversial.
Standings and defensive metrics are absolutely germane to the discussion - Holl plays difficult minutes for a top 5 team (in standings & defensive metrics) and Schenn does the same for a bottom 5 team (metrics) bottom 10 team (standings). All the metrics (team & individual) favour Holl pretty clearly but you’re entitled to your opinion as poorly informed as it is. But Hallowell 😂 - tells me you don’t watch a lot of Leaf games
We also have the evidence that Schenn played for a top team (not that long ago) & rode the pines. So maybe he’s not that good - just looks good on a bad team
And playoffs were brought up b/c fans of (likely - still more than half season to go) non playoff teams like to start pumping up their players, anticipating unreasonable hauls at TDL. You took it to another level as you’re pumping up other fan’s teams - good use of your time 👍</div></div>
Rode the pine to the tune of a healthy scratch more than half the time. At the teams weakest position at that time.

Either way this trade is terrible for the Canucks. We give up 2 of our top 6 players for a bunch of nothing and a 1st,2nd and 3rd. No thanks</div></div>
You're joking aren't you? Canucks would get some good assets, 8m of free cap by not having Miller, and then cap free of Horvat. It's one of the worse thoughts for a trade (from the Leafs view) in this calendar year.

Suppose it'd depend very much on how he returns from this injury, but I mean we'd only have him for a few months so maybe the injury thing isn't as prominent as if we were taking him on long term?
Definitely a good point and one I'm on the fence with as well.</div></div>
Bertuzzi’s value is near as low as it’s ever been due to injuries and the fact that they are trading him to get SOME value because they know he will walk. I think a 1st and Robertson is too much.

Half right, Rielly has far better advance stats than Hughes this season. The known fact that Hughes is better is based entirely on anti leaf bias. Leafs decline that in a second.
Thinking Chychrun is worth more than Rielly is so laughable.
