One of the worst contracts I've ever seen. Don't understand what they see in him.

All of your posts are something that us (sometimes spoiled) Rangers fans need to remember and consider. Heartbreaking, but it was nice to watch hockey for this long while cheering on our team. Cheers to you guys and your teams.

I was trying to be more realistic with close 1st-2nd round picks. good chance shesty (4th round) keandre & nils (mid-late 1sts) would have still been there or very close to those spots.

But if it is determined Buch must be moved now- I just hope his trade involves a young C coming back...even if we need to add to get that deal done.</div></div>
Troubas cap hit "noose" will never loosen lol. Hes a good dman, but not 8mil good, more like 5 mil.

Asking for Trade Value
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jimbo1119</b></div><div>From the responses- looks like the Wild found “their guy” in Foligno....that being the case, only a big overpay would peek Guerin’s interest...and Buch would be a massive overpay. For what you’re looking to add from a player like Foligno, there should be no shortage of options out there (after the playoffs are complete) which don’t require gutting the prospect pool or underselling a player on the roster.
As far as Buch- for now, unless his contract demand is outlandish...the guy has earned a nice contract in the 5-6 year range....unless he is part of a deal to upgrade 1c or 2C, give him that contract.</div></div>
Buch is expendable imo. giving him a 5-6 mil contract (assuming 5-7 yrs and ntc/nmc) will leave little room for our prospects to flourish and also take away a big amount of the cap space we need to sign players like Laf, Kakko, Fox***, Miller, Lindgren, etc...

He loves him , & he will be protected in expansion draft. He shares agent with zuccarello, & 1 other wild player
https://www.google.com/amp/s/theathletic.com/2319427/2021/01/12/marcus-foligno-wild-contract-extension/%3famp</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Lightman13</b></div><div>Foligno on his contract would probably be a 1st 2nd and best C prospect. It would need to be something serious like that to get Guerin talking. Serious overpayment on his contract seeings how he’s a top 5 defensive forward in the league. Doesn’t have the offense for real selke consideration.</div></div>
What about a player like Buchnevich? Much younger and better point producer. Also an RFA

figured that, but still would like to know what (if in a crazy alternate universe where everything is the same except the gm loses his mind and wants to get rid of him) his trade value would be.
