I agree, taking a cap dump and a young center who still hasn't proven he can be an NHL top-6 is not enough.
I like Kunin but the value is just not there.

Stars makes a splash at home during the draft
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MotherRussia</b></div><div>40 goals from a guy who's about to be on the wrong side of 30? I'd say that's wishful thinking. With how well Janmark played after being sidelined for the entire previous season, I'd much rather stick with him, especially with him probably getting a bridge deal. Then go after JVR or some other FA. Especially if you let Roussel walk like you suggested, you've got plenty of dough to go after one or more of the pretty good FAs that are available.</div></div>
wrong side of 30's? Max is 29 lol so is JVR btw.
Last year some folks were talking about Max for Selke...he scored 35+ with David Desharnais as center, im sure he would get 40 with playing again with Radu, and say Bozak if you use that dough on a center and having PP time with Seguin/Benn.
Janmark's value is rated so high because he had a good year...

Stars makes a splash at home during the draft
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>J_Sand3rs</b></div><div>So the Stars trade a top-6 winger for a top-6 winger. They aren't gaining that extra piece that they need in their top-6, and they're giving up their 1st round pick? No thanks. Sure they get Nichushkin back next season, but as of now their top-6 looks like:
Benn-Seguin-Radulov
Janmark-???-Nichushkin
Faksa is a phenomenal 3C. He plays a great shut down role, while also being able to provide great depth production. Moving him to the 2C position really hurts our bottom-6. The Stars should look to free agency to fill the hole on their 2nd line. Trading Janmark for Pacioretty may give the Stars an extra few points on the 2nd line, but that's not nearly enough to warrant giving up our 1st round pick, especially considering the fact that they still don't have that 2C. And honestly, Janmark had a career year with a revolving door at Center and Right Wing. Give him linemates like Nichushkin and JVR/Neal/Stastny/Nash for a full year and he's a 50+ player. Stars really don't gain much at all by making this trade.</div></div>
Pacioretty will bring alot more than just a few points...Paccio could easily score 40g 70+pts and still play good defensively in Dallas, feels like your under valuing him. Janmark will be at the very best a 50 point man and it's possible he never does compared to Max who did it plenty of times in his career and had a down year.
There still money to sign a center since i agree Faksa is a third liner without much offensive upsides to his game. I signed Roussel but the Stars could let him walk and have money to sign a guy like Bozak and if they manage to get rid of Spezza's contract they could even go for JT.

Because people will say the Stars overpay and that Pacc dosen't fit so here's the proof the he would indeed fit very nicely.
Not much to see on MTL's side, the key piece is the draft pick. Mattias Janmark is a player i really like and feel like he would do a bit like Karlsson did in Vegas. Maybe not score 40 goals but i'd see him hitting 50 points in a much bigger role in the centre-line of the habs.

Barbashev is a young center with potential and size, Walman has top-6 potential a bit like Juulsen and then a second rounder.
Your one star is bs. You'd probably give 5 to an AGM that signs Tavares and Carlson.

3 trades on first draft day
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Burgerboss92</b></div><div>ARi trade is ok, but the other trades have problems.
That Dallas trade - I get your logic, reuniting Patches and Radulov. Problem is that they'll play different lines. Radu will be in the first line, while Pacioretty is just going to take Janmark's place at the 2nd line winger. And that pretty much soils the deal. Janmark is upgrading young forward who had a decent season, whilst Patches had a bad season and his ending contract brings a certain risk... Adding a first rounder from Dallas in that trade is just bad idea. I think Dallas would be better off without making that trade.
And Kings have no need for Petry. They already have a surplus of big money d-men (Doughty, Muzzin, Martinez, Phaneuf). Adding Petry is pointless - no team would want to have over $3M third pair d-man.</div></div>
Your wrong on Petry. He played top pairing minutes with Weber out and was solid getting a career year of 12g 30a for 42 pts. He is a perfect top-4 right handed d-man...which is something you didn't mention. Matinez, Muzzin, Phaneuf, Forbort are all left-handed.
3m for Petry for the next 3 years is a deal for the Kings

your asking the Stars to move down from 13 to 55 for a backup goalie and #6 d? Jim Nill knows better i guarantee you.
I'd still say we are not giving enough to the oilers but giving them Juulsen does makes sens given their needs on the right side. Maybe more like our pick #34, Pacc and Juulsen for Nurse and #10.

As for the post, idk why there are always these Hamilton rumors considering he's inked to a long term deal and still young but i'd say the value is there but idk how much they would want to replace him by Ceci.
If the Sens do keep Karlsson, idk if this makes much sens either. I'd rather target a partner for Karlsson then get a guy to play behind him.
For the roster, i'll say that Formenton should really get a chance at a top-9 spot and Brown too.

While i agree that Kyrou would be more likely as trade bait, the Blues still have Barbashev (he's a center is he not?), Thompson and possibly Fabbri coming back so they do have young players to replace the potential lost of Thomas. However, i've heard many times that the blues organisation really like him and wouldn't trade him.

Hawks back on top
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ChiHawk</b></div><div>Hawks won't bring in Traveres, it's too rich for them over the next couple years without shedding major cap space like Seabs. Fair trade for Anisimov. Murphy trade is bad for Hawks unless it's just a cap dump. Pateryn is nothing more then a 3rd pairing and the Hawks have a log jam on the 3rd pairing D with Gus, Forsling, Oesterle, Rutta and up and coming Ian Mitchell, Blake Hillman, Jokiharju (which you didn't create space for), whoever they draft likely a D player....none of these players are top 3 roles (unless Jokiharju or a draftee like Bouchard pan out) and that's where the Hawks need the most help. Contract is too much for Hino, he will likely get a bridge deal between $1.25M and $1.75M. Duclair is too high, the guy hasn't shown a lot and he is injured, can't see his contract being higher then $1.5M give or take. Martinsen will also likely get a deal, the guy was great as a an agitator and won't cost beyond $900K. No way is Schmaltz on the 4th line and also don't think he should be a Center anymore with a horrible faceoff percentage. Kampf has the 4th line C on lock right now. Where is Sikura? Besides Traveres, the forwards lines just look bad.</div></div>
I'll keep that in mind i guess.
