smith isn’t a negative asset like bailey. doubtful he gets traded to chicago as teams were interested in him at the deadline

Off-season Retool
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Snowhawk18</b></div><div>LOL, that is brutal for Chicago.
How exactly does the money work out in favour of Chicago? Rackell is owed $18m over the next four seasons whereas Hall is owed $5.25m for one season of which you want the Hawks to retain 50%. I know math is hard but holy crap man.
Additionally, the Hawks will end up with cap hits of $8m, $5m, $5m and $5m over the next four seasons and the Penguins $3m for one year. Now if Rackell was playing well you could argue it is worth the investment for Chicago but he’s not, he has been an overpaid, underperforming bust in Pittsburgh.
It would take more then a 1st round pick to move Rackell’s contract on it’s own. Then another 1st round pick to get Hall with 50% retention.
I would counter with:
To Pittsburgh: Hall 50% retained
To Chicago: Rackell, Yager, Pittsburgh’s 2024 2nd round pick, Pittsburgh’s 2026 1st round pick.</div></div>
hawks got hall for free, rakell would actually be a good player to play along side of bedard. people overreact on how much it costs to dump some players

laughton might be worth one late first round pick. if any gm gave up two first round picks for a 30 year old with a career high of 43 points they should automatically be fired into the sun

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>xxToothxx</b></div><div>Let them play 20 min every night next to #87 you'd see similiar if not better.
Lol, I'm saying atleast half the forwards in all the NHL can do what Guentzel does.
Nothing special.
It's 87 not 59 making things happen.
Hats off to Sid, doing what a true Superstar does, making average players valuable.
If Guentzel is traded he and the acquiring team will regret it. He will show HIS VALUE.
But all hope is not lost, I mean he could land with another Superstar to carry the load for him.</div></div>
lmk of any grinder who has been elite next to sid. i also mentioned how without sid he was still ppg.

Sell high or dont sell
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>xxToothxx</b></div><div>Move on ...
J. Guentzel is not worth amy of the proposals on here.
He is overrated and atop the trade board simply due to a lack of options.
Any team acquiring Guentzel will regret it immediately.
He is small, not physical in any way, not fast, not a great skater, no big shot, average stick/puck skills. He has happen to play next to a generational talent , whom did his job, by raising the level of those around him
Do not trade for a field mouse.
He's just collecting all the crumbs left by 87.
I have no doubt Guentzels role and career are easily replicated by Max Domi, Jimmy Vescy, Scott Laughton, heck even Cal Cutterbuck offers more than Guentzel.
Big deal over very little player, pray your team stays away. He will be a bust, unless he finds really big coattails.</div></div>
jake is ppg in his career without sid. always shows up in the playoffs, scored 40 multiple times, and has insane hockey knowledge. he’s over a ppg this year with an incompetent powerplay
lmk when clutterbuck domi vesey and laughton score 40. then we can talk about him being replaceable

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SupremeBone</b></div><div>I have the same position with Ned as I do with Lindgren when WAS fans go around demanding a 1st or 2nd for him: a small sample of good play doesn't remove a track record of pretty mediocre play from a middle-aged goalie. You're free to disagree but I don't think there would be many comparables for your proposal.
That aside, Ruhwedel is a clear 7 that wouldn't see regular ice time in EDM. Even if I pretend that Lavoie isn't worth more than him (something I don't believe), the 2nd is worth more than I'd give for Ned.</div></div>
ned was good before he went to detroit. plus i think chad is an upgrade on desharnais
