Is it crazy that I look at this Leaf's team and think it's got a better chance of winning a Cup than the current one with Marner? I mean, I guess I'm biased as a Kings fan, but this looks like a legitimately balanced squad with great scoring depth and a great blue line. Sure, it doesn't have Marner, but there's still so much scoring potential in that lineup that I'm not sure he's needed for the team to go all the way. (For the record, I obviously agree with you. Kings would have been in the wrong making this move.)
Eh. I'm probably about to get crucified by Leaf's fans, so what do I know? I'm just a "dumb af" California-grown hockey fan who doesn't know the game.

Gallagher has a fractured thumb and is out weeks. On the positive side, if he is out for the rest of the regular season, the habs would have $3,750,000 in LTIR relief that we could use in a trade. Also, the Canucks situation will likely end up pushing back the start of the playoffs, and hopefully means that there’s a chance he’s back before the start of the playoffs.

Gallagher out for weeks
Ducharme said after the game that Gallagher has a fractured finger and that he could be out for weeks. With the deadline coming fast, do we try to get Hall,Pearson,Palmieri, etc or we run a guy like Poehling, Ylonen, Caufield, Dauphin, Frolik or Weal?
Dont worry about the lines I didnt touch them

Well that was just an unlucky period all around. The habs were dominant, but they’re now down 1-0, and Gallagher is injured after taking a shot off his hand (<strong>again!</strong>).
If Gallagher is out, I’d probably think the lines would be something like:
Tatar - Danault - Anderson
Drouin - Staal - Toffoli
Lehkonen - Kotkaniemi - Suzuki
Byron - Evans - Perry

Down 1-0, Edmundson-Weber continues to be garbage + Gallagher is unlikely to return to the game with likely a fractured wrist/finger. Great start to the game!

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>lebronisdagoat</b></div><div>how is teasdale?

His hockey IQ is much better than I expect. If he can improve on his skating and explosive first step, I would say yes. He does not have great speed but makes up for it on his high anticipation skills. So who knows. He is playing really well in Laval and most games he is a positive factor. Jury still out on Teasdale. He has grown on me though.

Laval Rockets Game #23
A complete domination in the first period with shots 14 to 1, yet no goals were scored until the 2nd period. Now I do not know much about Harvey-Pinard but if half the hockey players played like him, they would have longer careers. He just never stops working. He is fun to watch. Weal finally had a dominating game, like he did the first ten games of the year. Poehling was all over the place, he also had a good game.
Some people get very sensitive if you criticize a francophone but after coaching for 23 years with players from numerous countries, I do not really care where the player comes from but you should play a solid game. With that said, I am really not a big fan of Ouellett. In fact he played better at the NHL level than he does at the AHL level. He made several bad clearings for icings, something you can overlook on a rookie but he is far from being a rookie. I will concede he had a good 3rd period.
Best D for this game:
1. Corey Schueneman
2. Gustav Olofsson
3. Josh Brook
4. Otto Leskinen
5- Tobie Bisson
6- Xavier Ouellett
Top F for this game:
1. Jordan Weal
2. Raphael Harvey-Pinard
3. Ryan Poehling
4. Joel Teasdale
5. Yannick Veilleux
6. Hayden Verbeek
7. Joe Blandisi
8. Arsen Khisamutdinov
9. Laurent Dauphin
10. Michael Pezzetta
11. Jacob Lucchini
12. Cameron Hillis

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>HabsFan9</b></div><div>have we ever considered putting KK at wing? It seems Suzuki is taking a lot of big faceoffs and the coaches like him in the middle. Last night, KK was one of the only habs whose first instinct upon entering the o zone was to dump and chase. I would like to see that happen as often as possible.
As for who we scratch, I don't think we set it in stone, but rotate it based on performance and experience and energy as the playoffs get closer</div></div>
The reason Suzuki would be playing the wing is because Kotkaniemi has improved a lot at faceoffs, while Suzuki is still awful. Suzuki’s at 44% on the season, while KK’s at 49%. Plus KK’s improved as the season’s gone on, and he’s 54% since the start of March.

Laval Rockets Game #22
First two periods were fairly boring in terms of flow. Third period was slightly better, but not a great game to watch. Yes Primeau got the shoutout but I found him fighting the puck all night and his positioning in his crease was a bit off. Speaking of fighting, I was thinking of Cole Caufield watching the game from his quarantined hotel room, seeing all the fights! I hope Mrs. Caufield was not watching!
Baddock had a nice wrist shot to open the scoring. I found Ouellet making a ton of lane mistakes or indecisive. Bisson had to come over to get him out of trouble a few times. If Teasdale had faster wheels he would have a decent NHL career. He is so smart and I understand why he is on the PK. Veilleux played a solid game, good fight too. Brook played well.
Top D in this game:
1. Josh Brook
2. Corey Schueneman
3. Otto Leskinen
4. Tobie Bisson
5. Xavier Ouellet
6. Cale Fleury (left game with injury)
Guillaume Brisebois was supposed to dress but Vancouver wanted him to sit with all their covid cases

8- Michael Pezzetta

Since Dominique Ducharme took over :
Tatar : 3.7 P/60
Gallagher : 3.39 P/60
Toffoli : 2.89 P/60
Perry : 2.59 P/60
Danault : 2.55 P/60
Kotkaniemi : 2.02 P/60
Drouin : 2.02 P/60
Byron : 1.94 P/60
Petry : 1.91 P/60
Evans : 1.76 P/60
Is it safe to assume that Danault and Tatar are the players who have benefited the most from the coaching change?
