It feels like St. Louis should add something because of the cap relief New Jersey is giving them. Maybe a d-man? IDK.

Devils Goaltending Fix
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Dawidz</b></div><div>Goals saved above expected is a goalie isolated stat. And the Devils have had literal dog**** in net all year literally anything would be an upgrade lmao. I wouldn't be against picking up a formerly elite goalie and hoping that he can return to form. I'll concede that my original offer is not enough but yours is complete overkill too. Gibson for Blackwood, Foote, and the 2022 1st and maybe another pick or mid-tier prospect should probably get it done imo.</div></div>
Actually I didn't have an offer but nonetheless, there are better options for both teams and don't see Anaheim giving up Gibson for anything like that. Although trading him to an Eastern based team makes more sense that most people would think. I would also think free agency would be more appealing to the Devils than trading and they did show some initiative by signing Hamilton last year. I will end this by asking what's Anaheim motivation for this trade?

I think it's more like the team in front of him isn't that good anymore. If he wasn't that good, why are you trading for him?

Cujo 2021
I don't think Backlund approves of going to Buffalo (he has a 10 team trade list). I don't think Buffalo jumps at that offer if he does agree to go there. If Vancouver is offering the 9th pick overall, I think the 12th and Zary would put Calgary in the lead.
Also not sure why you are giving a player with 5 career NHL games in Chase De Leo a $1.1 million contract. He probably could be had for $800k to 850k. Michael Bunting will be going for more than $975k per season. I'm thinking there will be at least one team out there that will offer him $2 million per for 4 or 5 years. Edmonton or Seattle maybe? Armia should be going at $3.5 to 4 million per season as well. I'm not saying Bunting or Armia are worth it, just what a team or two may pay for them.

cap dump
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>West_Virginia_Take_Me_Home</b></div><div>If you look at advanced analytics. Dunn is one of the best D in the league. The minimum to get him is a 2st and a 3rd. Bozak has positive value. Hes paid about a mill-mill and a half more than what his output is but he's not a cap dump. Way off base. St. Louis hangs up</div></div>
Bozak is a good player but teams aren't stupid and are going to take advantage of the flat cap if they have the room. I realize that 1 year of Bozak is not going to kill any one team but why give up a first when you really don't have to.
If I'm NJ, I politely decline and make a counter offer of a conditional 2021 NYI 2nd round pick that can slide from a 1st to a 3rd depending on Dunn's performance. There aren't many teams that can take on a $5 million contract without giving up a contract with at least 80% of that value back. If St.Louis declines then so be it.
There are no shortage of teams that need to dump a contract or two this off season

That's a bit too much for the Devils to give up for Dunn AND Bozak. I can't see Dunn being worth more than a 1st on his own much less taking a cap dump along with him. Maybe a 2nd rounder instead?

No doubt. It's a three man effort that the line is doing well. Dube is leading the way.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SlevinKalevra</b></div><div>Bennett has been pretty good as well. Any two guys that can make Lucic look decent... lol</div></div>
Actually Lucic has been improving because of Geoff Ward who worked with him during their Boston days. Ward has given Lucic a purpose (for lack of a better word) on the team and Milan has responded. Game 4 against Winnipeg was maybe the best game he played overall since his Boston days. Just my opinion and if it wasn't then it was definitely one of best games in recent memory. I'm beginning to think that Calgary got the best of the two players in the trade with Edmonton.

Does either team do this
I don't see how Nutivaara is worth the 11th pick in a deep draft. Also, is your plan to protect 8 skaters instead of 7-3-1 in the up coming expansion draft? I know the majority of Columbus fans seem to still be in love with Josh Anderson so I am not sure how they would take this.
If I'm the Blue Jackets, I take this trade and bury Turris in the minors at $4.925 million per year instead of $6 million and hope Seattle takes him in the expansion draft.

No. I wanted to take a team that I had no vested interest in and see what I could do. The Calgary trade I knew before going in that it was iffy at best.
The Arizona trade I still stand by IF the Coyotes are trying to sign Hall. I might have to drop their 2nd though and give a conditional 3rd pick that can slide up with certain conditions met (advancing past the 1st and 2nd rounds with both players playing x amount games, etc.).
The Buffalo trade I can see it clearly sided to Nashville. I thought Turris was better than he was. I realize now that he would have to complete a comeback season or two to have any real value. I would like to dump Turris with a small add from my side other wise I will keep him on the 2nd line and expose him in the expansion draft and hope for the best.

I think both players have a pretty good ceiling that can be achieved still. Try telling that to anyone out side of Calgary that and they will look at you as if you are crazy. I honestly believe that they are solid middle six forwards on a contending team when every thing is said and done.
