:laugh He'd easily score 30 again with McDavid as his Centerman. He just needs more competent players around him.

Detroit - Franzen mid pick
Detroit typically doesn't throw their young kids into situations. Frolik could be a mentor and shelter letting the young kids play weaker competition and gain better confidence before moving up the line-up. Detroit could then flip Frolik at the deadline when teams will have more cap and get a minimum 2nd for him. Lately, lesser players than Frolik who can't play up and down the lineup have gotten more than a 2nd at the deadline.

I stand by the "No" vote. Tampa has a Foote fetish problem, and it's time they be called out for it.

I cannot wrap my head around him getting more than $1M less than Kevin Hayes.

I agree that Detroit could be a good trading partner for a Trouba trade...but not in this deal.

Definite no go on that Trouba trade. Winnipeg needs cap space, Green is a big question mark after missing so much time. And I would not give up McIsaac unless its for an absolute stud

DRW 19-20 helping out TOR
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>lublowri</b></div><div>Trade him to the Wings with the stipulation that the Wings agree to buy him out of his contract and that the Leafs agree re-sign him on a more team friendly deal. Or they could trade him to the Wings with the stipulation that the Wings agree to trade him back with salary retained. Or he could just waive that NMC</div></div>
First option would get shot down by the league. Marleau is in a 35+ so I don’t know if they could get away with it. The second option is in violation of the cba. Marleau could not be traded back to the leafs for 1 full calendar year. The third option will never happen. If marleau were to retire he could be traded for futures but it win’t Be sandin.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DragonRaptorHybrid</b></div><div>surprised Larkin only got 5 years; for what appears to be their franchise 1C, he shoulda gotten at least 6.</div></div>
He probably wanted shorter term for two reasons:
1. To cash in on a big contract by the end of this one.
2. If Detroit is a still a wreck he can pull a JT and jump ship to a contender.

On the other hand Larkin is a very good 2C and 6 million is prefect for him. Has potential to be the next captain of the Wings.</div></div>
Place Franzen on LTIR...and you can exceed salary cap by 10% during off season
