He's that Craig Rivet or Josh Gorges style defense D Anchor for Offensively included D who cause odd man rushes.
Subban always had Gorges with him until he was good enough to skate with Markov which took like 4-5 years.
Petry had Jo Benn who went from Fringe NHLer on his Superstar Brothers team to top 4 D , Kulak grew into that role in time as well
Even back to Souray days he had Craig Rivet anchoring him while Souray/Kovalev lead MTL to their last #1 Power Play in the NHL with i think 40+ PP points each.

Guys like Struble have value when Barron is struggling defensively but playing great offensively and scoring goals.
Mailloux is in a similar position defensively but that said i think Xhekaj is his perfect Partner when he comes up.
My point is with all these Offensive Defensman coming up a guy like Struble or Engstrom who both also play RD as well , they have increased value as they fit the build timeline

IMO Selling high on Harris, Matheson , Savard and Kovacevic is going to be MTL's plans the next 2 years as we can get a boat load for them</div></div>

I understand your point and I would love to see all the guys up above get traded while their value is up. Washington 1st have value because the seem to struggle and we could a good player with that first(even with the pedigree of our first round pick), so giving up Struble for a chance at a top talent this year. Mtl is lacking top end talent in the lineup even in the pipeline.

Yes we need to tank for at least 2-3 years. We lack superstars (A defensemen next if we do not pick 1-2) . I hope we're not trading for Dubois.

Why trying to get into the playoffs when there is players like Bedard and Michkov hanging around? We did this for 10 years being a mid team trying to go on a run and look where we got.
