No… we need a 2C… not more wingers

I think Edmonton should swap Campbell for someone else's cap dump who might be of more use to the Oilers like a bottom six guy or dman, yes the Oilers would still have to pay to dump Campbell but taking back a bad contract say that's got a smaller AAV might soften the dumping cost a bit.
Another Lucic/Neal swap basically.

That's hilarious eh. A low end rental bottom 6 center that is awful at everything but face offs is somehow, miraculously close in value to one of the best 3C's in the league with 3 years of term. Wow!

Our Captain, who has turned that dressing room around and led the Jets to 1st overall in the league for a 3rd, Monahan AND 60% of Price's contract?!?!?!?!?!

The value is fine for the Jets trade, but the Jets don't make this trade IMHO. Just no need for a guy like Domi in our lineup. I think we're only in the market for a bonafide upgrade over Namestnikov at 2C, or a 13th forward type. Domi just doesn't represent an upgrade over Namestnikov as we speak today.

Its Another Package Deal With Calgary
Just need Lindholm
No reason to tamper with the D the way it’s clicking, unless we can get a top pairing RHD like Pulock… better to just add depth RHD for the playoff run, and then address moving out Schmidt and adding a top 4 RHD in the offseason

Key part of this would be the fact the Nash and Winnipeg are division rivals so if Novak is on the market his price is higher if he's staying the division

I like the pick up but he probably costs more and if he won't extend there's no point in giving up the 2nd or more that it'd take to get Novak.
Granlund is who the Jets should be trying to get, probably doesn't cost a ton to acquire, Grier isn't the sharpest GM and Granlund has another year of term which is perfect for some of the young guys development.

I've been on here saying he fetches a 1st. Great production for his value and we would be happy to re-sign him. Maybe its 2 2nds instead, but I bet he gets a 1st. Highest xGF% of any forward on the team.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>masterjuddi</b></div><div>Maybe, but the Sabres need a shake up some how. Pretty terrible run for the franchise. Longest playoff draught and it'll be tough for them to end that this year. This deal makes more sense for the jets for sure, plus the Schmitt add doesnt make sense at this time. Like someone said above, probably figure that out next year.</div></div>
They have a shakeup every 2 to 3 years lol. I definitely want to move Mittelstadt because I think he is a great opportunity to fill the only real hole they have and then they can ride this for a few years. Kinda hit a wall with Tage having back spasms and also breaking his hand, and Cozens hitting a slump, but I think both will get back on track

With the cap going up and Lilleberg ,Thompson and Declan all NHL ready on ECL's on the blueline. Groshev as a foward on his next year and a NHL ready Gonclaves just coming off it they'll be fime

I don't think the Jets are keen to upset the applecart on the back-end. I could see them bringing in a super cheap depth guy if they have the space, but they're not going to offload Schmidt until the offseason, so Johnson doesnt fit this trade.
Also, I think that Lambert is pretty much untouchable at this point. If the Jets are trading a former 1st round pick, Lucius is the guy getting moved.
All of that being said, I'm pretty interested in Mittelstadt, though.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>masterjuddi</b></div><div>This is the type of deal i want Chevy to make. if he's giving up 1st and top prospects then I wanna see a legit player with term.
I don't see any retention on that type of deal, just doesn't happen often
This is my list of C's I like
Brayden Schenn-long term deal into his late 30's and has a NTC and is the blues captain so probably not available. Ive always liked his gritty game
Buchnevich- probably available, 1 year left after this year, but doesn't really play C a whole lot
Boone Jenner-probably not available but another gritty guy that would fit the jets
Scott Laughton-probably more of a 3C, but he could definitely slide in on the 2nd line. Does everything well.
Kuzenetsov- definitely available as he's struggled the last couple of years. Big contract with one more year, but they might retain. Used to play in all situation and was a skilled top 6 C a couple years ago. I would be hesitant to trade for him, but maybe a change of scenery.
Josh Norris-saw a couple posts about him being available. I highly doubt he is and he definitely shouldn't be IMO. Still...he'd be the 2C for years to come</div></div>
Not really interested in any of those guys except Norris, who would cost an arm and a leg but I would definitely consider life as an amputee if the Jets could add him.
Guys I'm interested in: Yanni Gourde, Casey Mittelstadt, Dylan Strome.

Look at his linemates. Put him with Connor and Perfetti and I think he's exactly what the Jets need.

I would jump for joy if we got Cirelli.
I think if they trade him there will be 0 retention tho. No GM has ever or will ever retain any amount of a contract for 8 years.
Also seems like too much to me, essentially 3 firsts, a second, and 2 young NHLers. Maybe take out the picks or Chaz
Iafallo or Vladdy could be used to make the cap work. Both are very Tampa guys
