Values are great but unfortunately with Kessel and Stralman I can't see the Yotes using their last retention slot on Crouse who only makes like 1.8 million

2021-22 Lightning Season Discussion
Lightning players' respective ASG Skills Competitions: Vasi's doing the Save Streak (obviously), Stammer's doing the '21 in '22 (which is five players who will stand on Las Vegas Boulevard and shoot at 52 oversized cards, trying to get the highest hand in the fewest shots without going bust, the first player who wins two rounds wins the event-sounds AWESOME), and Hedman's doing hardest shot.

I like this a lot, actually. It spreads out your top 6 in a way that all lines have at least one "leading" player.

Selke Trophy.
I used to believe that Brayden Point was going to become the next Patrice Bergeron perennial selke type centre. I no longer think this because he doesn't kill penalties.
Barkov has become that kinda all situation guy. Couturier is up there too. Stone is up there as well.
Am I missing anyone who should be in the selke conversation this season?

Reunite Foote brothers
Joseph is a decent 3rd liner, but nothing more. Foote may eventually reach that top 4 dman level, but he's still at least a couple years from that, being generous. If Tampa could get a legit top 4 RD in Severson for 2 more runs, moving out a 3rd liner that likely asks for too much next year(not sure why though given his play), and a young dman that would be a playoff liability this year, they should have no problem doing that. A late 1st is a late 1st, and JBB has shown no problem moving those to improve the team. Fortier is actually the piece I would not want to include as I believe he has some future potential in Tampa, but again, he wouldn't be a deal breaker if NJ drew.a line in the sand over him.

Joseph is nowhere near the player any of Gourde, Verhaeghe or JAM were. He's more like JT Brown 2.0. He's not worth committing to long-term and definitely not worth anything more than what he's making now. He's not "on the precipice of being great" and moving him.as part of a package for a player that might actually help them win when it matters is 100% the right move.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>IconicHawk</b></div><div>We have to have at least one guy from every team in</div></div>
I understand that, because the NHL wants to make sure every fan base is engaged...Perhaps they should change the name to "The top player from every team" game though, because calling someone like Kempe, or Suzuki an allstar at this point is a biiiiiit of a stretch.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Icedragon4405</b></div><div>What is this. The real Allstars as in the all star game would be a player from each team</div></div>
The real allstar rosters were released yesterday. I'm assuming that the OP is trying to show what the actual best on best competition would look like, instead of the current "Attempt to keep every fan base engaged, no matter how bad their team is" method.
I understand both sides, but it's a little bit hilarious that 3 of the top 8 scorers in the NHL didn't get chosen (Kadri/Stammer/Rantanen), and that the 6th highest goal scorer (Terry) got left out (With Gibson, who, as a Ducks fan I love, but has lower numbers than both Quick and Markstrom).
That being said, I feel like there's not a ton of people who actually watch this anyway.

Yeah it's kinda hard not to be on the 3rd pairing when you have Hedman and McDonagh. Both are better defensive dmen but that doesn't mean Sergachev is "offense-only". He improved his defensive skills a lot over the last few years. Became much more physical and confident at his own end and is very valuable in all situations now.
